Stats are what they are, stats. His hits arent hard, fierce, anything. He bumps into people and from time to time manages to stay on his feet. Like, Good for Kopecky proving he can do SOMETHING, but lets not overblow this please.

Richards goes for the head on most of his hits, he makes then clean, but you can be sure he's trying to send a message. Good on Giradi for standing up.

You'd probably get a suspension or a fine or some sort, but nothing super serious. And dont we all wish it could be more sport, winning is all that matters to most people anymore, the well being of the players is 2nd. Sad but true, at least it isnt as bad in the regular season (Or even THIS season, havent noticed alot of dirt in order to win.)

The Kings will definately be in the playoffs next year. They have a great young defence core, and a solid guy in O'Donell to lead them. Plus they got some good forwards and cap space to play with. 1:20, if this goes to a shootout...

I'm not saying it's a good thing, but there's nothing in the rules against it. Morally, it's not right. But players couldnt care less about "morally correct" if it means a Gold Medal, a playoff series, or the Stanley Cup.

We beat Nashville on the road last year, Colorado on the road, Dallas on the road, and secured the Cup on the road. We beat Calgary on the road, we beat San Jose on the road. The only critical game we've lost on the road the last 2 years is Game 6 in Anaheim, but that one was over after Liljas gaff. 2nd is fine, if only San Jose and Boston have more points then us, I'lll be happy.

You do what you have to do to win, espicially back in the 70's. I do agree that it wasnt toughness, because it wasnt. That's how Bobby Clarke had to play to win, he had tons of talent, but was also as crazy as Chris Simon. Honestly, I'm sure there were more then a few people on this board hoping a Wing would slash Forsbergs ankles and take him out because he was that good against us in the playoffs. It wasnt "tough", it was nessacary. Hey, we didnt do it and sometimes lost to the Avs in the playoffs (1999 when Forsberg killed us every game a good example) It is the flavor of cheating sure, but it's 100 percent legal.

While true, when Bowman inplemented that style, he had different types of players on the roster. The Russians usually did it to perfection, while the rest of the team would play it while also grinding on the other teams. It's different now, but was his idea originally.

Lidstrom and Rafalski dont switch quick enough, and we dont always get shots through. Work on that and getting everyone to shoot a little more and it wouldnt be a problem.

All this tells me is Mac still has the talent, but he's lost a step. That's why he's doing better in the slower AHL. That a boy Mac, hopefully you get some playoff games buddy! Whether it was out of loyalty or not, I'm glad we brought him back.

I told him that they get penalties just like everyone else. He disagreed and said how most of those penalties shouldnt have been. I said the Flames werent trying to win in the 1st last night, they were trying to intimadate us. He disagreed and said the Flames were taking advantage of a bunch of wussies (his words). What I got from it, other then my English prof is a moron, is that everyone defends there team no matter what. That is where bias, and hate comes from. Not Nationalism (there it is), just the fact, you either hate them or you love them. That'a true with pretty much EVERY team in the NHL. There's my contribution to this stuff.
