This is all up in the air right now and unverifed and could rock the rest of the league." Gonna be interesting to see what unfolds in the morning.

If the things being discussed are indeed criminal charges/club related stuff, I wouldnt doubt it had something to do with that, who knows how many were there. I read some of your posts, and I understand what your saying. I dont want to give up big value either, but a guy from the minors costs nothing but an open roster spot (Better known as... well I've mentioned him too much tonight.) And a guy like Lappy or Neil, costs you a guy like Meech and a pick. This is the best shot we got a cup for a while, if you can add a guy like that who can change the dynamic of the bottom guys, why not. There both UFA's anyways, and we've seen what happens with guys that come here, maybe they want to win, or maybe they dont. If there were a guy to replace Sammy next year (No, not trading Sammy for them this year) and then having Leino and Helm to add more energy, while maybe being able to keep Hossa and Hudler, I mean, it just sounds good to me. But who knows what the hell is gonna happen, I just would love to be able to see some more hits and scraps in Detroit hockey.

Hahaha. God, people say Downey is a waste of a roster spot, but does more in 5 minutes then Kopecky does in 2 or 3 games. Hossa showed he isnt afraid, the rest of the team needs to become accountable. This isnt the playoffs, this is the regular season. Send a message that you arent gonna get pushed around, Downey, Drake, McCarty and a healthy dose of Chelios brought that last year, this year it's been Kopecky... and it's showed for the most part. But I'm not getting into a big fight over this, just funny how Downey is a waste and Kopecky isnt.

Hossa must stay now, I will be heart broken if he leaves. (And I was dead against signing this guy last year, WOW) GMR dont worry, Neil is coming, he and Lilja will instruct Hossa the techniques and in no time we'll have a budding, legit power forward on our hands.

You havent seen Neil play. Like, at all. Dude was huge for Ottawa in 07, he and Fisher were every bit as important as the Big 3 that year.

I dont know about Abdelkader, but come playoff time a Kirk Maltby hit will be 10x harder then a Kopecky bump and fall down. Honestly, statistics are good for somethings, but hits aint one of them. You need to judge those for yourselfs, and Kopecky cant do it! He threw one decent hit all year and it was in the preseason. The hit on Gauthier was blown out of proportion, if that glass doesnt break it just looks like another embarrasing one. As for why Kopecky is so high in the pecking order, 2 words. Marian Hossa.
