This is a great move by the Rangers, Avery is gonna be motivated to prove to everyone he's an NHL player, and isnt a ******. We'll see if he can do it, but he adds a spark to a team that doesnt seem to have anything. I wonder if Jagr is next...

Fillpula would have more value, and even then we'd still have to give a 1st with him and Kronner, and Bouwmeester wouldnt sign for 5.8.

I can believe that. I've played against teams that dont fight, but cheapshot and run there mouths to draw penalties, and would always score. It's a great strategy, not very admirable, but nonetheless gets wins. There's nothing proven, but even when you watch on TV after plays there saying stuff to the opposing players. It's hockey. Everyone does it, so this guy shouldnt be whining over it.

If Chris Neil and a gritty leader/and or playing Chelios more, are the only moves made I'll be happy. This team needs to wake up already, the playoffs ended last june. That's all they need to wake up, if they dont, they wont win, it's as simple as that.

He's still the best defenceman in the league, but he hasnt been the best defenceman this year. That's why I dont think he'll win the Norris, people are much to eager to give it to someone having a monster year like Boyle or Chara, but that doesnt mean there better.

Is he something we need? Nope, but playing Lebda like 5on5 minutes, and playing with Nick on the PP, taking Sammy off it, wouldnt be such a bad thing IMO. But yeah, Holland will be looking a heart and soul guy, maybe a John Erksine and Chris Neil? Works for me.

I was thinking about this back in October haha, didnt think it'd ever even get a rumor. I wouldnt mind it, Schnieder would help our PP. Lidstrom feeding him and him bombing em in. Even if that's the only time he got he'd be a plus, I dont see it happening though, but I was always a huge Schnieder fan, and we would've won the cup if he didnt get hurt in 07.

Had to be posted... NYI tough guy Tim Jackman knocks Karri Ramo (Tampa Goaltender) over behind the net. Vinny comes over cross checks him, challenges him, drops the mits and gets a draw. Not bad! Love Vinny!

Our defence hasnt played well all year, and St Louis played a desperate game last night. That's pretty much... yeah, that's what that is. Enough frigging threads about this already, we know there not playing well, but the sky isnt falling theres still alot of time. They'll get more desperate and more physical as the days go on, the playoffs are 30 games away, I believe these guys can do it.

It cant be Maltby and Draper after last game, that's the best they've played all year. Good to see that Helm will get a shot. Sucks about Homer, but he's a battler, he'll be back.

Chelios hasnt had a bad game this season, the old goat still got game! A solid night for Ozzie, other then the 1st goal IMO. Glad to see Backes get some from Lilja, I hope that scumbag wants some payback next game, and the Pain Train makes his long awaited return.
