Honestly, yes I would. Only if Hossa/Franzen re-signing was 100% certain before you made the move, get bigger, tougher, and if you can keep Hossa/Franzen, you dont lose much. I certainly dont think it will happen, but interesting guys to bring up.

Give them a scare. Losing to St Louis, to me, qualifys as that. Couldnt hurt to shake things up for a bit, maybe get some other guys going. I really just want to see the old Wings, the physical play, and the dominance to go along with it. The way this years team has played, I havent enjoyed as much. Like I said though, I do expect them to win, St Louis just arent very good competition.

Not happy about Downey not in the line-up for a Blues game, we could use the energy. Kinda hope we lose, but we wont. At home against the Blues, probably a 5-3 win. It's too bad Abdelkader doesnt play with the same kinda sand paper he does in the minors up with us, we got enough guys to score, I'd like to see him fight!

And yet, he hasnt been even close to the worst. Raycroft, Lalime, Toskala, Giguere, Hedberg, Legace, Turco, Auld, Garon have all been worse. You need to watch the games, not the stats. Yeah, Ozzies been bad the past couple games, but throughout the season he's had solid games and kept us in some games, some games he gets us the save. He's just been very hot and cold, that's been his problem. Plus, he has no confidence, and then our defence has no confidence, and that's a recipe for disaster. Honestly, what are you trying to prove with this thread? We know he hasnt been great, but your mistaken if you think he's been the worst.

Does Eklund not actually watch any hockey? Toskala has been god awful for Toronto all year, almost blew it for them on Gilmour night last night. Giguere?!?! He's 12-12! Being outplayed by Hiller consistently game in and game out, he's brutal, always has been and now it's showing. The money both would take up make it even worse, Kenny isnt even thinking about a deal for either.

Unfortunately yes, but as long as Downs plays, I'm cool. The Wings need to get their heads out of their asses before they start winning games. Playing s***ty teams is just another reason for a let down.
