GMR, you are officially my favorite poster Oh and the biggest thing in the Franzen vs Hudler debate is size, at the end of the day we need Franzens big body and physical play to go along with his skill, whereas Hudler has the skill and the work ethic but just isnt the physical presence, if we had a forward crop with more size and physicality then that point is moot and you'd keep Hudler, but it isnt.

He is. But he wont be when he's making big money with someone this year, and he's posting better numbers then Franzen. Who's likely to get 4-5 million, some GM in the NHL will offer Huds big money, and he'd be crazy not to accept, but who knows. After seeing him this season I'd love for him to come back, just dont think it will be possible.

lol Lidstrom is the system. Sure Wings fans say crazy things, I'm sure other fans think that Samuelsson is useless and Kopecky to boot, and there probably right... but we have fans that think otherwise, Big deal. Last year he was PP only and the odd 5on5 shift in blowout games, and he excelled at that. Was touranment MVP this year. How is that overated? He doesnt play D? You gotta get some OHL games if you want to see his defensive game, wait till he goes to London he might just become the most complete player not in the NHL, probably will. His talents and love for the game are like no one elses, this kid was playing AAA at 8, and in the OHL at 14. That is sick. Once Dale Hunter is done with him the last thing people will be calling Tavares is overated. BTW, being able to score "only on the PP" is something ALOT of teams in the NHL would love, oh one being Vancouver, who signed Mats Sundin for that exact reason, which they've stated many times already. If anything, Hedman is overated. All I've heard about him is that he's the Swedish pronger, next Lidstrom etc. He looked more like the next Anders Erikkson then anything, so that right there SHOULD tell you all you need to know about analyzing players performance in that tournament.

Yes, Roberts would be. We saw what Drake was like last year, this is Garys last season in the NHL, he's much more valuable then Mac and Helm. No he cant skate as fast as he used to, but you cant discount heart and hunger. Plus, he's cheap.
