The whole 4th line had a good night. Kopecky and McCary included. Lots of jump, and smart easy plays with the puck. Dumbing it down and getting it in. Something the rest of the forwards should do sometimes. But I'm just glad to see them getting their legs back, and contributing.

One is going to be captain for a very long time. The other one wont be in the NHL very long if the Instigator rule gets taken out.

The Stevie speech? Pretty sure he just came in settled the guys down, and said how it starts with him needing to be better. I'll have to break out the championship DVD to be sure of that. As far as Nick is concerned, good on him. Hopefully some of the other stars look at this, and pick up their play too.

Lidstrom is probably the most boring player in the NHL. He doesnt dazzle with speed, or a bomb from the point, ridiculous passes. He's just amazing at doing the little things, and the things a great defenceman does. That's what makes him great, he doesnt need to do anything spectacular looking on the ice. As far as the Wings go, at times, they can be boring to watch. In the regular season. If this guy is judging off the playoffs, he's a dumbass. Red Wings playoff hockey is probably the most exciting form out there.

That's probably the best explanation to it I've heard so far. Your right on all points, this team needs to work for wins, and stop thinking there head and shoulders better then the other teams, and that when you get a lead, you can float and just keep it. Not the case, as we've seen many times ALREADY in this season. I want to say it'll get better, but it's the product on the ice that determines that, not the predictions and the team on paper. We lost Drake, Downey and Chelios from last years team, that's a ton of fire, and energy, and leadership from the bench, room and the ice. The current Wings need some emotion, start showing you want it, they need some fire. I just dont know who can bring that fire, I'm sure we'll figure out soon.

Hudler will leave as a free agent this summer, or be traded, and go produce somewhere else. It just isnt going to happen in Detroit, he wont be given the ice time to produce at a high level. That's just how it is. I dont like Hudler a ton, but he's smarter and more creative then Samuelsson, and that should warrant more ice, but it doesnt. Nothing we can do about it, unfortunately.

How bad did we look in the 2nd and 3rd? Only saw up to the Franzen goal.
