I agree with Pierre, Ryane Clowe is a monster. It was such a rush getting to play hockey with him two years ago, the guy is massive. He's finally playing up to his potential, barring injury, I would'nt be surprised if he scores 30.

There all hoping Brooksie lays him out, and that wont happen. Godard might get a hold of his sweater, but that's about it.

And thankfully, his replacement Eric Godard can barely skate, so no problems.

He was dealt to Philly at the trade deadline in 97 and our speed made Paul look silly most nights. Still love the guy though.

Finally getting to Danny, good he's getting it checked out. But thankfully Franzen is back, so we wont miss Clearys physical play too much, assuming Mule plays the way he did before getting hurt. I'm gonna say 6-1, I'm only going to get the 1st period unfortunately, so hopefully I get to see some good highlights tonight.

Van Ryn has a broken finger, a broken hand, a broken nose, and a concussion. He should get 10 games, or more. Set the standard, dirty hits like this with no attempt to pull up arent acceptable. I'm glad that Coliacovo tried to pick up for his player.

I wish Goals Per Game were down. I like tight grinding games, not shootouts.

I know exactly how Dan got to this point. He's was a star in junior, was drafted by the Hawks, and thought he could just coast and still be a star in the NHL, didnt happen and he was dealt to Edmonton, had a couple good seasons, but his defensive game wasnt what Mac T wanted, so they let him go. He played with Phoenix, and got little to no chance to prove himself as he was playing on the 4th line most nights. They didnt have a need for Dan, so they let him go. He got a tryout with Detroit, worked his ass off, and made the team. Played on the 4th line all year and had 15 points. The next season, Yzerman and Shanny left, and Cleary's 20 goals helped fill the void for offence they left. Babcock made him a great defensive player, all coaches can mold talent. I think it speaks to Babcocks abilitys with stars, and not to Cleary being bad or lazy by any means. He cleaned up his act, and had another 20 goal year, and was a regular on the PK for 3 seasons, not including this one. He's off to a slow start, but if not for a bouncing puck, he scores tonight. His effort is there, as displayed by the play where he flew up to get the puck, took a huge hit to make the hit, and then watched Zetterberg score from the seat of his pants. Just wait, we're 13 games in. By the All Star Break, you wont have s*** to complain about. As far as taking it personally, yeah I did. Saying that a persons favorite player doesnt deserve to be a Red Wing and everything a Red Wing shouldnt be, is over the line, and in this case, ridiculously wrong.

The guy is having vision problems and has been for a couple weeks. You must not remember his past 20 goal seasons, where he was also one of the best PKer's on the team. Everyone goes through slumps, but man do even watch for all his tendencies? Or do you just nitpick at what he does "wrong" in your opinion. He's smart on the ice, he isnt always looking to shoot as you say. f***, I know how the Lilja/Sammy supporters feel. When a player goes through a slump, people want them off the team. Dan Cleary is a player a Detroit Red Wings shouldnt be? Your judging this entirely on this season, that is it. If you ahd watched 06/07, 07-08 and the playoffs in both seasons, it's Daniel Clearys intables and hard work, DESIRE, HEART AND GRIT that earned him that contract, not to mention he has a GREAT finish when healthy. You just wait, he'll go on a streak, and his vision problems will be gone, and the bandwagon jumpers will hope back on and cheer him on again, while the true fans of his appreciate everything he does. Because in my mind, and of many on here, as I've witnessed in discussions with them, Daniel Cleary is EVERYTHING a Detroit Red Wings should strive to be like. Yeah, I'm not done quite yet. You say Dan Cleary isnt a great penalty killer? How about you talk to any of the players that play with him or Babcock? Why would a Stanley Cup winning coach continue to put a bad player on his PK? The reason? He isnt a bad player like you say. Worst you've ever seen? Uwe Krupp is better then him? Are you SERIOUS? Speaking of hustle though, maybe you dont remember when he out raced Roman Hamrlik to a puck, was taken down and scored on a penalty shot? Or maybe when he raced into the corner to flatten Phaneuf DIRECTLY leading to a goal to swing momemtum in a game against Calgary? Or stepping up to the plate to fight Pronger, because he was tired of his s***? Something NO OTHER WING has/did do. /now my rant is over

I dont know why they hate Grabovski so much. Koivu started cursing at him as he fell earlier, and then Kostisyn loses it and takes a huge run at him. And so did I, he started saying something to the linesman, and keep turning and trying to get away from him. Crazy game it was.

S. Kostisyn tried to fight Grabovski in the Habs/Leafs game lol. A night where the Habs lose and the Wings win is a good night.

He realizes Franzen is getting healthy, and fighting is the way to keep a spot on the bottom lines on this team. Which is a good thing.
