Some kind of left eye inflammation, like it's itcy and irritating, he's had it for about a week now. Saw that coming, the Wings look out of sync so far. That penalty kill wasnt good.

Cleary is still such a great penalty killer, vision problems or not.

He's having vision problems, it's why he's wearing the visor, theres an article on it, but I dont really want to go find it.

Perry is a wuss, the guy shouldnt be allowed to fight. Did you see when he fought Bouillon earlier? He fell down, and was in no position to fight, and Perry facewashes him. I would've gotten up and gone right back after him, whatta dumbass. Yay! FSN Detroit K, I'm convinced, Kopecky is on the team because of Hossa.

He probably will, but I'd rather see McCarty fight Burish, he'd have a better chance against Burish IMO.

Also look for Patrick Sharp to be looking over his shoulder alot more tonight

Positioning has been the big problem so far. And the crisp passes arent there yet either, led to a goal by Atlanta last night. I'm starting to wonder if that visor is affecting Lidstrom, because in the defensive zone he seems a bit off, and it's weird to see that form him. But of course, a bad Nick Lidstrom is still better then the whole defence, so it hasnt been a huge problem, yet.

Physical play, defensive awareness, penalty killing. I want Mac back in the line-up, but taking out Maltby makes no sense. Kopecky hasnt been providing... anything. But people still defend him, until he shows me something, i dont see a need for him in the line-up over McCarty, Maltby, Helm or Downey. Getting off topic, I'm glad Lilja is back in tonight, the PK should be a bit better. And hopefully he mops the floor with Patrick Sharp again tonight, would be great to see

Malts wont be out, he's been playing better then ever, why scratch him? I think it'll be Kopecky or maybe even Hudler. I like that Mac and Lilja are back in though, should have a little more hitting tonight. I think it's stupid that Meech gets bumped while Lebda continues to get games when he just doesnt deserve it.

I know, and he looked pretty good in the pre-season as well. I'd like to see him play more, he's a good defenceman, he can play the PP too.

And not only is the bad plus/minus a reason for him to come out, his defensive gaffs and miscues are costing goals and scoring chances. I havent seen a overly great play by Lebda so far all season. Lilja has made the smart play up the boards, or off the glass in any danger situation. I hope he gets better soon. Edit: No, no, I was agreeing with you haha.

Neil has been at the top of my list since he tried to beat the Ducks by himself in the finals a couple years ago. He could provide so much to this team, and is better than half of the bottom 2 lines. Torres was high on my list after his huge playoffs in 06, because he proved he can bring it when it counts, but his injury history is a concern. I'd still die to have either on the Wings.

That's the best solution. Meech has had one good game, and tonights mediocre game, give him the full time duty and see how he does with a defensive d-man, and not... Lebda.

I'll agree with that Franzen has made a fair number of hits, and Malts a bit too. But I'd die to have a Raffi Torres or Chris Neil on our team, and on defence a Mitchell or heck his teammates Bieksa. They'd all provide the physical play were looking for and can play too.

I said it when they waived him, you dont judge a guy on his pre-season. I'd love to have him over Lebda, but since we cant, I hope he continues to prove Holland wrong, and keeps having a great career, he's a good kid.

Every team seems to get tough at the end of the game so far this season. Just wait boys, you'll get yours.
