No, I watched the game, and whether or not it was a tank job is opinon, but that wasnt Pittsburghs best even without Sid in the line-up. Please, Philly were without Timonen and Coburn. Smith was playing with 2 separated shoulders and Hatcher had a torn muscle in his knee. They didnt have a chance, there top 4 was about 20% healthy and thats added together. Yeah, just like I'd take a guy like Belak who isnt very good on the Wings. You have to understand that expression around here because people usually want skill and not grit. But luckily for us, Holland did a good job this year. So did Shero, but I think he'll have to wait a year or 2 for his cup.

Good for JR. He's always been one of my favorites, and I'm proud of the guy for resurrecting his career. 10 GWG's last year, and anyone saying he didnt do anything in the playoffs.. you werent watching, he was probably San Jose's best player. Good for Ward too, always liked that guy.

Time to argue. 1.) Our PK is best in the playoffs, sure you guys have a good player play, but if Malkin decides to make those flashy blind passes Franzen and Zetterberg will make him pay. 2.) Gonchar doesnt deserve that nomination, if Zubov is healthy for even 15 more games this season he would be there. Whitney will never ever win a Norris. Orpik hits hard, Stuart hits hard. Stuart is a better defenceman, having a shutdown defenceman who is slow is useless, see big Ole' Derian. That's what Dallas said and it didnt happen, good luck forechecking our d-men. 3.) Hossa is a dynamic offensive player and a good back checker, will never win a Selke. He doesnt do enough. 4.) You wont be saying that when Drake is running all your d-men. Experience is key even if you dont want to believe it. 5.) Explain to me how he is? Osgood was better in the regular season, he's been better in the playoffs (2 more wins by Fleury, I wish we had played Ottawa!). He cant steal a game? Must not have watched most of our games then. 6.) :lol: Hasek will not play, the Penguins will not get to Ozzie like that. Also, there isnt alot you can say about faceoffs. Crosby is your best guy, and his is somewhere in the 40's. After that is Staal, Talbot and Malkin. It'll be hard to generate shots when the puck is on the Wings stick all game.

You dont know how bad those plastic helmets affect your jaw. Do you remeber when Sakic had to wear one and was a non-factor for alot of games dispite being in his prime. About the jaw, do you remeber when JR got his jaw shattered by Hatcher? I dont think he's been the same player since and I do not blame that on age. Danny's game will come back next season if not in the finals, besides, if were winning, we dont need to worry about this. He still is one of the best penalty killers on this team and always defensively responsibly. He's come a crossbar and a couple inches away from having 3 goals in the post season, and even when he doesnt factor in the on the score sheet, he usually has a hand in starting the 2nd PP units goal (obviously being finished by Franzen, Hudler and Kronwall.) He's fine, yes he's gotta score more, but losing weight does affect it, he cant see the puck as well, but he's still generating chances. Dont forget he's never won a cup, and could make history by becoming the first Newfoundland born player to have his name on the Cup, I believe he will give 120% to try to have an impact in the finals to make it even more special.

Hey, Downey dressed for the warm-up, gave Morrow a nice snow shower, hit Ribeiro with his stick (gently, calm down people), and did some other stuff. He didnt play, but 99% of the time when Downey hits the ice we end up winning.

So if Johan is ready to go.. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Filpula-Franzen-Hudler Maltby-Draper-Cleary Drake-Helm-Samuelson or fiddle with the 3rd/4th lines. I'd say Crosby will play against ZDH, Staal will play against Franzen, and Malkin against Draper. I like our chances. And our defence owns Pittsburgh. Yes, you dont come all this way to lose. But in Pittsburghs case, it wouldnt be a disappointment because of there youth, for us, were an older team and should do everything we can to win it this year.
