This is so ***, TSN is showing the masters and not the game. f*** I hate the canadian media so much.

They do have alot of guys who fight, but they dont have to dress them, they choose too. Brad May used to be a great 3rd line guy, but he's nothing more then a 4th liner now. Parros, Sutherby, etc. Last year they had Shawn Thornton, who is a pretty good player, but still a 4th liner. These guys werent liabilitys (Well maybe Parros) I just dont think Downey would do as bad as people think. He doesnt have to play alot, just has to be on the bench.

Yeah, I wasnt being serious abot Draper. People just tend to say a "liability" has a bad plus/minus. That isnt true.

Pretty hard to to suck when he's stuck in the box most of the game Did no one watch the last 5 or 6 games and see how many penalties Hartigan took? The playoffs get faster and harder to play in, Hartigan will be our liability IMO.

That's probably the reason. I dont understand why, Downey isnt anymore of a liablity then Drake, Lilja, Draper even. All have worse +/-'s, Hartigan is worse aswell. Just having Downeys presence if Nashville start playing rough is enough to dress him.

Lose Cannon? Only one or twice this season has he done that. Once against Chicago, and against Colorado. Both situations in which, it was appropriate. The guy has shown alot of restraint this year. BTW, it's an absolute joke, that the one decision Mike is having is going with Mac or Downey. They should both be in, we arent playing nice clean hockey. Nashville are gonna take alot of liberties with us, Mac and Stewie are good, but they cant handle it by themselves. Having Downey on the bench just for that, is a good enough reason to dress him.

How does Hartigan deserve a shot exactly? He didnt work hard to make the team like Downey. He didnt protect his teamates all season long like Downey. Why does he deserve a shot? Because he's quick? We already have a quick bottom line player. We need size and grit, Hartigan brings 0 intangibles.

Good looking line-up, but Babock is a fool if he thinks Hartigan will have some kinda impact and Downey wont. Crashing and Banging is playoff hockey, taking hooking penalties, now thats Mark Hartigan hockey!

No one expects him to be Datsyuk or Zetterberg. They want him to score goals and play physical. He didnt do that this year, and thats why no one wants him. Sammy doesnt bring an element we dont already have. We have enough scoring without him, having Downey or McCarty or Abdelkader adds size and some physical play. Samuelson is not a terrible player, but the way people the defend the guy, my lord. He's a marginal hockey player, I hope you acknowledge that at least.

Agreed. But damn, I'd take Clowe in a heartbeat on the team.

Clowe is a great player. But thats as far as there going.
