Agreed. The first period of the Pens/Sens game has been GREAT! Everything good about hockey (accept for fighting of course) has been happening. So entertaining, and the fans are great in the playoffs too.

They should both play. NO HARTIGAN, this guy takes more penalties then Downey! If you watch the games you'd know this, I watched every game this year. Hartigan took ALOT of hooking penalties and a couple holding ones, Downey takes instigating and roughing penalties. He finishes checks, and he forechecks, and he protects the guys. McCarty and Downey. No Hartigan. Case closed.

Listen, I flat out hate Sammy, but this is good news. It's good to be healthy (Though, Hudler should be scratched, and probably will be after he does nothing in Game 1). But, Babcock shouldnt be dressing Hartigan, this guy brings nothing to the game, Downey should be in, or at least Abdelkader. I cant wait till we play San Jose or Anaheim, because then Downey will have to play.

If we could get him a good price, you dont pass it up. Lidstrom, Rafalski, Campbell, Kronwall would be the best top 4 in the NHL. Imagine then if you re-sign Brad Stuart, and Chelios. That top 6 would be sick. Probably wont ever happen, but dream folks, dream.

Even though he's still a byng candidate, the thing that stands out most to me is how much he's toughened up. He used to never push back in scrums and stuff, but now he does. He takes checks and he throws them, backchecking and hardwork is something I consider tough as well. 2nd in the league in assists, leader in takeaways. One of not only the best 2-way players in the game, but one of the best.

Hey guys! A month is way to long to be suspended for lol. The playoff series in the west are set up perfectly for fight fans. They all could have rough stuff in them, I cant wait. San Jose and Calgary IMO, will be great. Shelley has really turned himself into a player with San Jose, and Calgary always play tough. Minnesota Colorado as well, Fedoruk has made a name for himself playing with Gabby and Demitra. Boogaard and Simon will probably play in the games for them, Lappierres antics in the final game will make this one to watch. Oh, and as far as the Wings FM total, Downey really helped us tons, Drake fought early, but stopped and really, stopped being effective. Lilja is in the same boat, fought early and was very effective, stopped, and became a bit of a liability.
