Close call there. Our defence is looking good so far.
-
Sammy fired a one handed back-hand one timer wide LOL
-
I hate the fact that Doms bad start this season has me cringing everytime the puck comes in our zone.
-
I'd rather he throw the hit rather then not. He needs to be tough on a regular basis.
-
Begin leaving.
-
HUGE HIT BY LILJA!!! Big save by Price.
-
WHAT A SAVE BY DOM! Looking good so far... I guess.
-
Agreed. I hope we come out strong.
-
Oh Chelios! You know your old when the stars from the 1950's-1970's are your buddies. Really nice to see all of the legends out there tonight.
-
I wish Anders Erikkson had fought once or twice while he was here. Then the title of best fighting defenceman would be his.

WOO! Miguel Cabera is a ******* stud. Dontrelle Willis didnt have a great season last year, but was a star pitcher a couple years ago. Go Tigers! Sucks losing Miller, but I think if Willis gets his form back, it'll be more then worth it.
-
See, this is why I hate the Habs so much. You dont have a celebration with ******* Claude Lemuieux on the ice. What the hell is that? I hope Downey goes to centre ice and kicks that pricks ass. Or .... McCarty hopes on the ice and kicks his ass instead.

Someone picks him up for sure. Wont be us.

They just do not look like the Stanley Cup Champs anymore. There 12-12-4 after another loss to Oilers (In which they were shutout) and they've lost 2 in a row. There struggling to score goals, Bertuzzi, McDonald, Kunitz all underachieving this year. Getzlaf and Perry are the only real standouts up front for them, and there 3rd year forwards. There defence hasnt been very good this year. Pronger, Schnieder havent been very good lately and the goaltending, dont get me started. The "Michelin Man" has been pretty bad in the last couple of games, and he looks lazy on every save he makes or goal he allows. I'm starting to think Brian Burke is going to lose it soon. On Sportsnet tonight they were talking about Scott Niedermayer and how he's still 3 or 4 weeks away from returning if he does return. Rob Niedermayer was talking about how Scott is coaching his sons hockey team and has no intentions of doing anything now. I'm starting to lose respect for him, and I'd imagine the Ducks are starting to lose there patience with him. As for Selanne, who knows what he's going to do. Whatever it is, Im sure the Ducks would like him back. He'd help them out in the goal scoring department for sure. Another problem for them (No Surprise) is the amount of penalties they take. They've almost got 600 minor penaltys so far this season. George Parros keeps getting tossed from games, and racking up misconducts. Sooner or later he's gonna be suspended and that wont be good for there organization. I'm really glad to see the Ducks crashing and burning, I just thought that after tonight somethings gotta be done in Anaheim.

Osgood in net for Phoenix; Hasek in net for Montreal

Either one can and will win the cup. Dont really matter who to me. -
I am probably in the minority, btu I like the Flyers. I'd wish they would cut down the cheapshots because it's getting ridiculous. But I hope they continue to play the tough hockey because it's fun to watch when it's clean.

Great to see. I look forward to seeing Pyett. I love that kid. I watch Regina Pats games all the time, he's gonna be something. I'd also like to see what Brendan Smith has too. Emmerton, for him this will be a bounce back from the super series in which he wasent too great. -
There is a difference. Guerin is terrible. Holland was smart enough to realize giving up good picks and prospects for washed up players like him would be a bad idea. Bertuzzi was had for a pretty cheap price, Mattias wont be anything great. How do you know? We have the best shot at a cup this year. It's not like were desperate like San Jose, Nashville and Atlanta were last year giving up a s*** load for rental guys who lasted 2 rounds. We're looking at picking up quality players who could almost guarantee us a cup. I will not be at all surprised to see Holland make a big trade or 2 this year.
-
He's the best GM in the league. He also knows that this is our last great oppurtunity at the cup. People on here think Hudler, Kindl, Filpula are great players with untapped potential who will be stars. Well, I seriously doubt Holland agrees. If he gets a deal for someone like Sundin and the last part of the deal would be to throw in Kindl or Hudler, 9 times out of 10 he makes the deal for sure. He's done it in the past, and he will do it again. It's what makes him the #1 GM in the league.
-
Same here. Instead of calling up a potential star, they have Drew Miller getting 10 minutes a night.
-
And Vinny is the best player in the league, your point?
-
That's what I like to see!
-
Agreed. I've watched all the leafs games this season, and Antropov was good for the first 10 or so games, But lately he's been terrible. His problem is he isnt very smart, and he's too lanky for his own good. If he was 6'1 and had some hockey sense he'd be a great player. Ponikarovski is a much better overall player for my money.
-
Sidney Crosby Mats Sundin Brendan Shanahan Brian McGrattan Wade Belak Those are the main ones. I also like Darren McCarty of course, but I have a feeling he's coming back. So he doesnt count
-
For the first 12 games yes, ever since then he's been absolutely atrocious. Antropov of 05/06 like.
