Well, with Z and D on the top line, and Franzen and Nyquist on the 2nd, I just assume they'll be the 3rd. Not in effectiveness though, every shift seems like a scoring chance from those guys.

As bad as the injuries have been this year, finding the Kid Line is probably worth it. They'll be our 3rd line for years.

As long as Fleury is in their crease, they are the most vulnerable team we might face in the playoffs. I get Crosby and Malkin, but Fleury is a weak link no question about it.

Getting into the Metropolitan division playoffs would be huge. I know you never pick your poison, but healthy we match up well with Pittsburgh, New York (except Hank scares me) and Philly. Avoiding Boston for the first few rounds could make a deep playoff run a reality.

Beat the Leafs, and more or less the race for 2 spots is down to 3 teams. Lose and... well lets not think about that. The Leafs are hot garbage right now, need to play 60 minutes for the first time in a week, should have lots of energy considering they've played maybe 2 or 3 period out of the last 6. LGW! -
Normally I'd be scared of that, but Babs comments after the game last night gives me hope. No excuses not to be as desperate as possible from start to finish tomorrow.

With Columbus losing, and the Leafs down late, last nights game against Montreal becomes a mulligan. Beat Toronto tomorrow and all of a sudden we're in the drivers seat.

With our needs for defence, and the cupboard full in GR just needing seasoning, a guy like Dan Boyle if he hits the FA market seems like a perfect fit. Exceptional break out passes, good shot, veteran presence and the important thing is fills the offensive top 4 guy need until Sproul/Ouellet/Marchenko/Backman/Jensen are ready to go. I'd overpay on a short term deal to get him with the cap space we're gonna have.
