I dont condone what Iginla did, but Schnieder isnt a wuss, he was at the time one of the toughest guys on our team. As for the Lidstrom comment, 100% agree, that was just foolish of him to do, but I just laugh at it. Big tough Iginla and his visor, and the swede without it. Never gets old

Do you consider Henrik Zetterberg an elite player? Because I bet if we were losing 5-2 in a playoff game, he'd get mad and give some slashes too, but I doubt anyone would have a problem with it because, hey he's Henrik Zetterberg. I've never liked Thornton, but I admire the way he plays, he wears his heart on his sleave, in this situation, it's kinda, if you've played the game, you know whats going through his head, it isnt right, but thats Hockey. Iginla, I have nothing but respect for him, so he crosschecked Schnieder, it's over and done with. It wasent right, but he needed to spark his team, and it didnt work anyways. He has a huge temper, but you guys have to know that Yzerman had a temper too, in a game against St Louis, got kicked out for telling off the refs and complaining because he was mad, nothing wrong with it, when you're mad, you do stupid things. It happens.

There very overated, there defence stinks and by the end of october probably wont even have a .500 record. Marleau has done jack all year, some captain he is. Then the game agaisnt Calgary (which I'll be at ) to end the road trip, looking forward too it.

Other then his fighting, he has played well defensively, and for an enforcer, has above average skating. Nuisance? Did you miss him DRAWING a PP the other night getting Davison to throw off his gloves first? Terrible play? Nothing Downey has done has hurt us, people saying "oh his turnovers" Lilja and Sammy turn the puck over alot and it hurts us a bit more then Downeys, but no one brings it up because turnovers in the offensive zone/neutral zone dont mean much when you REGAIN the puck, which is what happens almost everytime they make them. He has got in 2 scraps, the one agaisnt Mclauren that got the team pumped up and they went on to score 2 more goals and win the game, a fight agaisnt Davison that drew a PP and helped us continue to dominate the play. Im not saying Downey is a good hockey player, but to say he's terrible and his play is hurting us is just stupid.

I've never been a huge fan of Thornton because he's a cry baby, but man, I'd take him on this team anyday. Iginla falls into that catagorie, but I still have some respect for him because he's the captain of the Flames, Pronger falls there too, but I never respected him.
