Oh yeah? Commodore had 138 PIMs in 05/06, Craig Adams had 51 PIMs in 05/06, Eric Staal had 81 PIM's in 05/06, Rod Brind'amour had 68 PIM's in 05/06, Eric Cole had 54 PIM's in 60 games in 05/06, Bret Hedican had 58 PIM's in 05/06. So there goes that arguement. Every team who has ever won the cup, has had a couple of guys with alot of PIM's.

I'd sign him now. With Sopel leaving, were still in need of a 3/4 defenceman, because the pair of Lilja/Kronwall just isnt very good. Kronner will go out of his way for big hits, and in the occasion of a miss, Lilja wont be able to handle the 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 coming his way.

If they put him on waivers, pick him up. He's much better then Sopel and is better then Meech, I've always liked his speed and size, and he's got some grit and good in the playoffs. So yeah, pick him up if he becomes available!

He's not very good at all. But it's always nice to have another Canadian on the roster.

He has a good shot, and wouldve been nice to have on the powerplay. But his defensive play is much to be required and it's funny, Lang and Sopel on the same team , and its even funnier that there on Chicago.

Good luck missing the playoffs you idiot. You signed with Chicago? Well, those guys love there Red Wings dont they. Sopel, Lang, Williams, Lapointe. Other then Lapointe who isnt as good as he used to be anyways, they all suck. At least this means Downey has a better shot now!

We'll be just as good. But he's right, we lack physicality, and confrontational players, we wont have anyone get close to 60 PIMs, with at least two fighting majors. But we will finish 1st, and hopefully during the season kenny picks up some scoring and some grit.

I did watch the game. Grigs didnt have an impact during the game much at all. Downey did what he had to do as a 4th liner, throw checks and run his mouth. Grigs biggest impact was his SO goal. He was slow and took penaltys again tonight. Im not convinced he's NHL material yet, a stint in GR should do him good to get his speed up and his conditioning to NHL standards.

This new NHL is looking just stupid now. Before the lock-out there were players not getting paid that much. In this new league, I dont think guys like Briere and Gomez are worth 10 million. I suppose 8.5 for Heater aint bad, but It blows my mind how much friggin money hockey players get paid in todays game.

Once he does that when it matters, then I'll be impressed. It was a nice move, but that dont mean alot. It was a shootout in a preseason game. Im not trying to be negative, just saying, if he really wanted to impress, he wouldve won it in OT or something like that.
