He's as good as gone, he's looked terrible and its a damn shame. Hopefully he'll be more ready next year, because I seriously doubt he stays in GR this year. (Which would be the best thing for him, but I bet he'd rather be in Russia, with his family and stuff)

Everything is right, except Downey did not "get his butt kicked", he won. I watched the game, Roy and him had a good go, but Downey got the best punches, the last punch and the take down. Im really starting to like Franzen too, this guy is gonna BREAK OUT this year. Im calling it right now, 20+ goals and 50-60 points. Possibly more

The real question, right now is, where would you put Andre Roy? Because Downey got a win against him tonight. Oh, and anyone that has the courage to fight Bob Probert, is an alright guy in my books.

We lost 4-3, without Z, Dats, Homer, Danny, Drapes, Lids, Ralf, Cheli and Dom, guys this is GREAT. Downey isnt done yet, niether is Clark. I definately liked the Downey fight more, Im happy he got the win, it was close and good job to Roy, he gave Aaron a run for his money, one of the more even fights so far this preseason.

Exactly what I was gonna say. The ducks nor the Sens needed Grats or Parros since they have tough guys in there line-up already. If this were 96/97 and we had Kocur, McCarty, Lapointe, Shanny, Ward and Konstantinov, I wouldnt care who the hell was the 13th forward. In this case, we have Cleary, Drake, Maltby and Kopecky, so I do care. Man oh man do I miss those old teams.

Believe me, when the news Grigs was first coming over came out, I was estatic. I was excited to see what the kid could do. He's definately disappointed, I'd rather he start in GR and impress on call-ups then be the 13th forward. I really wanted him to make the team, mainly because it might have gotten Sammy scratched I'd like to see Downey and Grigs make the team, get Sammy out, and send Hartigan to GR. But I doubt any of that will happen.

I'd say he didnt do anything because 1.) Its preseason, and he's on a tryout, getting injured isnt a smart idea and 2.) Boogard would hurt him. There are alot of enforcers that also wouldnt fight Boogard in that situation. I hope he plays in the game agaisnt Tampa, I think he'd be able to hold his own/beat Roy.

Downey can play, he isnt a 1 way enforcer, the guy works hard and is a good skater. This isnt Brad Norton from last year.
