He's easily a 2nd liner , but I'd give him a regular shift with Cleary and Maltby. Avery can fight , Maltby can do the agitating and Cleary can score the goals. *drools*

Stevies OT winner vs. the Blues. or Macs goal in 97. For me , Clearys goal agaisnt Calgary will be one of my favorite memorys for a long time.

Team toughness is nice. But if we dropped Samuleson for a tough guy who could play, I'd be a little more optomistic that we wont get run/cheapshotted every night. Drake was a step in the right direction , but guys like Winchester and Fedoruk got less then a million , and the best fighter in still on the market (Asham), we could get him for cheap. But I doubt it'll happen because we still have Samulesuck on our roster. The one thing the playoffs showed me was , Playing Holmstrom/Franzen with Zetterberg and Datsyuk makes them grittier. As long as we have that , were gonna be just fine.

RBK and Easton for the most part. My helmets a s***ty white CCM one, hopefully before hockey season next year I'll get a better one.

More then I'd like to. So Smith had an off year , everyone on there team did. He was great in 05-06 , and I'd take him on the wings anyday , a really tough guy and lots of leadership/expeirence. Pitkanens young and a decent Top 4 guy , but im not sold him on.

More Important .... Yzerman More Talented ..... Yzerman If Stevies knees had held up better , I believe he could've been 3rd/4th in scoring all time. Fedorov was nice and flashy , but so was Yzerman back in the day. Plus he did all the little things.

During a scrum with the Caps he dropped the gloves. He didnt lose/win because the other guy just brought him down. Dont remeber the dudes name who he fought , but he did fight. Guess that didnt count as a fight , but I've seen a clip of it. But HC posted his fight card when he fought Miller.

So , what does the Oilers defence look like now. Pitkanen, Souray, Staios, Smid, Green, Tarnstrom/Gresbeshkov. Not bad.

I'd rather have Smith. Plus the oilers also gave up Lupul who didnt have a great season , but has potential to do great things.

This makes the Pitkanen deal look horrible. Smith and Souray wouldve been good together.
