Oh , I know Zetterbergs the better player , just making a comparision. That comment about there defensively play isnt true either, I'd give Z the edge , but Smyth is great defensively.

I gotta disagree here. You might have it backwards there , Holmstrom is much better in front of the net. Smyth has much more skill outside of the crease , he has a better shot and is a better skater. Homer made his career in front of the crease, mainly why he is the best crease crasher you can get. Plus he nearly never takes any penlaties while doing it. Talking about it makes me wish we had both.

Smyth is a much better player then Holmstrom. I'd rather have both then have Holmstrom alone. I love how the Smyth is worths go , because everyone on here wants Zetterberg signed for 7 million , but then says Smyth isnt even worth 6 .

Did I say it would? Smyth at 5-6 million is a fair deal. Im not interested in any of the other guys on the FA market , they can get 8 million from Columbus , Chicago , Florida , Washington , etc.

I dont like hearing that at all. With our amount of space and Smyths wants to "win" and seeing as theres 2 teams in the west that will for sure go deep in the playoffs (Detroit,Anaheim) and we have more space then Anaheim. Go ahead and take you time with our guys , but Smyth is hard to pass on. I trust Kenny , but "waiting" around wont do the team much good. We've almost got Bert re-signed , Dom will sign one of these days. It makes perfect sense to go after Smyth.
