Exactly , there arent alot available. But there is one that the Wings should look at. Arron Asham 11 G's 12 A's 23 points , + 3 in 80 games 63 PIM. Hes a tough guy , that can play and doesnt take unnesscecary penalties.

Exactly. Blakes a scorer because he got 41 , but Smyth isnt with 36? Smyth is a complete player , he could get 40+ playing with Datsyuk and Zetterberg. I think its very possible , when almost all the rumor sites , and most of the Wings bloggers and even most of the hockey analysts say its were he wants to go. Add that to we have enough room for him and he might take 5 or even 4.5 million to play here and its makes sense. What a line Smyth-Zetterberg-Bertuzzi would make

I dont understand why Holland would even bring back Hudler if it wasent a 2 way contract. Babs isnt gonna play Hudler unless half the rosters injured anyways. He could be good trade bait if he was packaged with a pick or something along those lines.

Those numbers look great to me , man , the Wings are gonna be even better next year then last year if they get all 4 guys.

Too early to judge. That said in all the games I saw him , he plays like a north american (Scouting reports agree) has a great shot , good offensively and defensively , Potential to be a top 2 guy. I dont think he'll be the next Niedermayer or Lidstrom , but he'll be pretty darn good.

Hull , Robataille , Joseph , Hatcher ? I think were gonna be in the running for Smyth. He wants 6million , when teams start offering that (Philly , Columbus , Chicago etc.) , Hes gonna have to make a decision , take less to go to a much better team. Or get the big $$$ and miss the playoffs for however long his contract lasts.

I think we'll have alot of space actaully. Samuelsson and Liljas contracts are up next year , I hope there gone. Thats 2.2 million. Draper will be down in the 1mil - 1.5 mil range. So thats either 1 mil or 750K to our cap space. Lidstrom may take a small pay cut of a million or so. Thats nearley 4.2 million in theory and if Hank , Nick , Filp etc. need the money next season , we could have it.

I have a soft spot for the leafs , Mainly because most of my family other then my dad and me like the leafs. I've always liked Sundin and Tucker. Wellwoods gonna be a great player. As for there fans , the ones who live in Toronto , yes there blind to all other teams and which teams are "good" or not. Fans outside of Toronto tend to know more then fans from Toronto themselves. Besides , they might have a decent team next year.

I think Kenny would benefit by either trading or waiving Samuelsson or Lilja if anyone would take them. 2.2 million taken up in useless players that we could use to keep Bert and Schnieds while signing Smyth. I think the wings should persue Smyth , hes a heart and sole guy , a 30 goal scorer , a good PP guy. I like Homer as much as the next guy , he isnt as good as Smyth. So , saying Sammy and Lilja are either waived or traded and those 3 are signed, Our lines would look like Zetterberg(2.25)-Datsyuk(6.75)-Holmstrom(3) Smyth(4.5)-Filpula(645k)-Bertuzzi(2.5) Maltby(883k)-Draper(2.1)-Cleary(663k) Franzen(947k)-Kopecky(500K)-Grigenko(830k) Lidstrom(7.6)-FA Defenceman(1.5-2) Kronwall(3.5)-Schnieder(4) Lebda/Quincey(800/450k)-Chelios(860k) Hasek(2) Osgood(830k) 3 good scoring lines , a good checking line , everyones good defensively and a pretty good defence too.

If I were the Habs , and Im looking for some hometown talent , hes who'd I'd pick-up. That said , If the Wings pick him up , that'd be A-Ok with me
