He isnt a great fighter , but because of his size he pounds on guys. He fought someone on Dallas this year Not much of a fight , but still is one

It seems like you always have to defend Dom loo I guess 2.5 isnt too bad , espicially if he does what he did this year. I love Doms antics , He definately the most entertaining goalie to watch. Its more Schnieder's contract demands that irked me , Hes a great defenceman and with what most defenceman are gonna get its reasonable for him to want that. Still , a hometown discount to stay in Motown shouldnt be out of his name. Plus , Bert at 2 and Dom at 2.5 is only 4.5 which is only a little more then what Lang was making , so him leaving and them getting re-signed is pretty good actually. If the cap does rise to 49/52 , we'd still have a great shot at the man in my avatar.

At 42 years old , yes he is. Hes already collected millions of dollars in his career, He could take 1.5 million or less with incentives like last time and help the team out. While hes certainly worth the money , if this was pre salary cap era I'd give him 6 million , He just doesnt need that much money now. Bertuzzi would get 4 million from other teams hence why at 2 million hes gonna be a bargain , espicially if he gets healthy and starts playing like himself again.

This sucks , I really liked Schnieder. I blame Ed Snider for being a ******* idiot and giving Timonen 2.1 million too much. Hasek at 2.5 just isnt something I want , why cant he sign for 1.5? 2 for Bert is perfect , at least he isnt being greedy.

Hasek at 1.75 Schnieder at 3.5 Bertuzzi at 2.5 Why arent those reasonable salaries? If the cap does go up to 49 or even 52 million, We'd still have alot of Cap Space

Wow , He sounds better then I thought. Guess the Wings might have missed a future great player. But I like Smith , I think he'll be the better defenceman , just not as physical.

He is much better then Lilja is every aspect. Ask any GM and they'd rather have Boynton. Anyways , I doubt Holland would give up anything large , Maybe Hudler and a pick , if they wouldnt accept that we cant get him. I'd rather have Sarich , but Boynton would be a great addtion

I love Nolan , one of my favorites , but Bert is better Carter? Never ever

Petrecki loves to hit , but thats all he brings to the table. He handles the puck like its a curling stone , Hatcher shoots the puck better. Smith has offensive and defensive upsides , Is a future top 4 defenceman who can skate with the best of them.

Schnieder won a cup with Montreal a hundred years ago. I dont see why he'd want a boatload of money just to go to Chicago , Phoenix or Columbus , whats the point ? Take a million less , be a man and win a cup. As for Bert , come back Todd , we could really use you. And Dominik is coming back

All you Hasek haters will be eating your words next June when hes hoisting the cup in downtown Detroit and were all celebrating. But you want to say hes only a top 15 goalie in the league which is a joke , He's top 5 easily. He loves it when people underestimate him , back when he wasent picked for the All Star game , the 4 games leading up the the All Star game he had 4 wins , 2 shutouts and a GAA of just above 1 , he thrives on advirsty. Like I said , when we win the cup and its a direct result of Dom being THE DOMINATOR , you'll be eating your words.

If were gonna pick up a former wing who likes to mix it up. It'd be McCarty who'd probably sign for the league minimum. Lapointe's contract is what I dont want , if he was WAY cheaper I'd consider it. Also , I'd take Arron Asham over either of them Exactly , Clearys a better younger cheaper version of Lapointe , he doesnt fight but he hits and will stand up for his teamates.

Are you comparing Torres to John Druce ? Have you ever seen Torres play , hes one of the toughest SOB's in the NHL. He can hit , score and fight. And yes is playoff proven

Torres was if not for Smyth Edmontons best player , He is 10x the player Hudler is , in every aspect.

If Thornton was avaiable (Of course he wont be) , I'd take him over Hank any day.
