He was only getting extra ice time because Bertuzzi , Zetterberg and Cleary were injured. I dont see Hudler as most do , I see him as a 2nd line goal scorer. This amazing abilities with the puck? I jsut dont see it. He'd do well in the east were small guys tend to do better ( St Louis , Gionta etc.). Filpula had a regular spot on the 4th line all season. And he did his best with his minutes , while Hudler got less he did good with his minutes too. There alot alike , but very different. Hudler will not be a great 2-way player , he wont win any selkes , But he for sure will score 30 goals with some team , it just wont be here. If Lewis was our coach , he would , but not Babcock. Filpula will be a good 2nd line center that wont score as many goals as Hudler but for sure will have as many points or more. I think Filpula is better , but I think Hudler will be a great player too , Its a shame , if he was 2 inches taller , Babs would actaully play him.

I feel terrible every year for my friends who are leafs fans , they have to deal with Antropov all year , checking his own teamates over and turning over pucks in the neutral zone. He makes Lang look like Yzerman in terms of defensive abilites.

Espcially when he has 4 inches and like 10 pounds on him to boot. That was also the game I gave up on Kronwall , 2 horrible turnovers to start the thrid and they scored both times. Add in he fumbled the puck at least 3 times that night while on the PP. And didnt throw any meaningfull bodie checks. But I'd say Lilja was probably worse

I wouldnt say Samsonov had a whole lot to do with the Oilers doing so well. 4 goals? Not that important. Roloson , Smith , Spacek , Pronger , Smyth , Horcoff , Pisani , Hemsky , Hell even Markenen played well in the finals. I noticed Samsonov in the wings series , thats all. He was pushed around by San Jose , Anaheim and Carolina. And something about Samsonov that always irked me , is he's not a great team guy and hes 5'8.
