Anyone who thinks Markov is more important then Schnieder should look at the playoffs to see why there wrong. Schnieder was key to our great powerplay in the Calgary series and San Jose series. His tough play and timely game winning goals (San Jose game 4 anyone ?) I like Markov as much as the next guy , I hope he comes back it'd be a shame if he didnt come back. But to say hes more of a priorty then Schnieder is foolish. Markovs good on the PK , so are chelios , lidstrom , kronwall and lilja. Then theres the power play and without Schnieder , it was Chelios and Lidstrom. At times Samuelson was good , but he isnt a defenceman. Another fact , with Schnieder , we scored on 5-3 poweplays , without him we almost gave up a 5-3 shorthanded goal agaisnt Anaheim. Hopefully we get both back , and can keep both healthy for the whole playoffs.

I'd like to see us go after him , a big tough defenceman , something were missing in our system now that May is gone. Plus hes a top prospect , the Wild's management is terrible, how can you give up on a kid like this ?

Kronwall should be fine with secondary minutes. This good , Schnieder's PP contributions are great and hes a tough old man. I hope we can get Markov re-signed , if not Hello Cory Sarich. Kronwall wont put up PP numbers. Schnieder will , I'd rather we have a good powerplay then a bad one. Its what killed us agaisnt Anaheim.

Sundin >>> Drury Sundin = Modano He is a top 10 center in the league , Chris Drury isnt even close to being one , Langkows a better center then he is. Henrik sedin is better , Marc Savard is better then Drury.

I'd feel much better about getting Kozlov if we had Igor centering him. And I dotn get it with Kronwall , what is "his game exactly" he gets injured too often for me to know what kind of game he plays. Though , when he throws dirty hits, of course I'll cheer for him. "Now thats good tough hockey"

He was great in the playoffs. He hasent scored a playoff goal since 01 , Im not sold on Kozlov at this point in time.

People give him loads of respect , He jsut doesnt deserve it because hes always injured. Once he shows me he can play 2 ways and more then 60 games a season on a basis , I'll consider him a "stud"

I agree with the whole Backstrom/Harding thing , They were playing much better then Fernadez. And yeah , its probably jsut speculation , But when most sports channels are saying he isnt a good "team guy" , that doesnt exactly make me happy that were one of the teams interested in him

Lots of laughs to this one. Even though its very usefull and thnaks for posting as I've been looking for a FA list. Of all Smyths teams , Edmonton and Toronto would be the ones he considers. That said , He'd more then likely come to Detroit to win a cup instead of being stuck on crap teams. Bertuzzi wont get 4 million , there pretty stupid for thinking that up. Its funny , they mock the wings , yet we always make the playoffs , they never do. They were IMO the worst team in the league the last 2 years (Philly aside this year) I just dont get it , we beat them bad every year , were a better team , better coach , better gm , better history. It blows my mind man.
