Everything you said. He's a veteran, one who was a premier offensive guy in years past. I get he's old, but he's getting paid too much to just be doing a whole lot of skating and passing and not much effective hockey. The way Jurco has played, he deserves a spot next year. Not sure Alfie does unless he kicks it up a notch here soon.

This. I think the thing people don't get, is alot of us don't hate Howard. In fact, alot of us like him quite a bit. But calling a spade a spade, he's been s*** this season. He has 13 goddamn wins in March. Him getting going is the most important factor in whether we get in or not.

Well, we dominated. But as typical of the entire season, wasn't good enough. Mrazek was very good on limited shots. Need to dig deep and get some behind Bob.

I wish once they got set up, Kronwall and Alfie would switch. Lids and Raffi did it seamlessly for years, the one timer from Alfie is alot more dangerous then a wrister from the wall with Bert in front.

Mrazeks numbers are great, the Wings don't give him a ton of run support when he plays. Has to change tonight.

If we lose tonight does it mean we won't make the playoffs? Probably not. But, at the same time, is this the biggest game of the season to this point? Easily. It's a very important 2 points, and the 4 point swing makes it more imperative to get the W. Because if not, we're chasing the rest of the season.

Man, when you put all their point totals next to one another it's pretty abysmal. Kronwall is the horse, the rest haven't provided jack. One of the reasons we struggle to score goals the past 2 seasons is lack of quality point shots and passes. Kindl regressing this season didn't help matters, really thought he was gonna be a good one after seeing the playoffs last season.

Agreed. I love Strombo, he's a very good personality. He's gonna do great next season, I personally don't like the rights going to Sportsnet/Rogers but Strombo deserves to be the host. -
Legwand back 3yrs/3.5 or 4, Alfie back 1yr/4, re-sign all the RFAs, Gus back 2yrs/2.75. If we can't upgrade the D, Quincey at a reduced rate wouldn't be terrible. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Alfredsson Nyquist-Legwand-Franzen Tatar-Weiss-Abdelkader Miller-Helm-Sheahan Callahan, Andersson/Glendening/Ferraro That's a seriously deep, and potent forward group. Jurco gets back in the line-up when Alfie retires, because he's waiver exempt.
