i realize i might be in for an intense flaming...but i have to say ozzie was really selling tonight...dare i say 'diving'... he was flopping around like a fish after a little nudge there...oh well wings get a pp out of it.

i just hope colin campbell was aknowledging the intent there on franzen...clearly they were head hunting him..pens should be ashamed of themselves....not only for their playing..

yeah i saw this a couple of days ago,and it's basically just that...plastic.....My first thought was that it seems fine for scooting around on but imagine yourself at speed and trying to dig your skates in on a power stop..just wouldn't work..you would either keep sliding or your skates would dig in to the plastic and leave you with a compound fracture.... -
nothing here that datsyuk hasnt done just this season!!!....i would like to see a top ten compilation of datsyuk for this year and it would more than measure up...

i agree with this...i like the fact that i can scream and shout at the refs when they blow calls..you should have seen me hollering at my t.v. when it was disallowed...it's part of hockey.i think its one of the more entertaining things at the rink when the fans start calling out the ref's...i think you take the good with the bad...

who would have thought back in sept. that we would be crossing our fingers and hoping that FRANZEN would be back in the lineup for a playoff game....I'm not saying that were doomed without him or anything like that,but just making a point about how much more valuble he has become to the team and fans in just a few months....I hope he stays on fire like this for next season

i agree,i'm so used to the experts always saying stuff like;..yeah the wings are good but they dont have enough________(add generic reason) etc.etc. So i want to cheer this guy,but because he's not bashing them,you wonder if he's really a pro sportswriter.....

dallas seemed to use a center ice shutdown style with maybe a touch of a left hand trap,that last game it wasnt working for them, and i dont think it will work against the wings...

i would call him an embellisher as well,but not quite a diver.Although when he doesn't get the call you'll see him yapping at the ref,trying to sell it ..that kinda bugs me...my tenant is a huge soccer{football} fan...and those guys have got to be THE worst diver/crybabies in professional sports,nothing comes close to those nancy boys.

my only comment is that i HATE when pbp guys call a shot a "drive" I dont know why but it annoys me to no end!!.....and theres a drive on net...or...theres a dirve that goes wide...you drive in golf ...not in hockey...pleeeaaasssee stop saying that. in hockey you shoot at the net...you dont hear the coach tell you you should have "drove" that puck.....okay i'm done my rant is over....

regardless of his shaky play that you might be talking about,you cant deny that his playoff experince should far outweigh any hiccups in his performance...he brings so much veteran poise and puck moving ability,not to mention presence and motivation on the bench and a great eye for the play.In this playoff i see him as so much more to this team than just a defenseman.
