Why did we play Downey against Colorado and not Boston? I mean really, its obvious which team poses the biggest physical threat. And our 3rd line doesnt fill me with confidence.

Easy, never really looked like loosing. Was a bit disappointed Downey didnt get ANY ice time in the 3rd when we were up by 3. Dont think Lilja made one bad play either. And to the guy above, f***in man utd are scum! ,ynwa

Why no Downey

Im going on this bandwagon. I think Steve Downie is a legend. He makes teams think about dressing enforcers. Enforcers being dressed = more fun hockey. More fun hockey is good for all And to whoever said how much is the NHL going to let Philly get away with, well, what have they got away with? And this was just a little 'kindergarden' punch. Theres no need to investigate it, a double minor for roughing was fine at the time and its fine now.

Theres been vast empty seats most games this season, and the past few have still had their fair share of emptiness.

When Drake has his cage on, he was virtually useless. He was on the 4th line, unable to fight or hit with any real force. But it seems really hes even more useless on the "checking" line. Now hes currently playing there due to injuries every game, hes playing the puck, and doesn't look to hit hard on the forecheck which isnt a good idea seeing as his offensive skills really arnt all good. He's best, and tbh looks like he enjoys best, being on the forecheck on the 4th line. We all surely remember the Blue Jackets game, and how thrilling it was to see Drake and Downey running everything in sight, and he even had his visor on then. My ideal 4th line is Drake-Kopecky-Downey. Today I was hoping with Zets returning that Drake would return to the 4th line but that hasnt happened, and when either Malts or Homer returns Im hoping the Drake-Kopecky-Downey line will return, purely for the fact that its damned fun to see.

McCarty coming back would be so sweet Id jizz Downey-Drake-McCarty would be like sweeeeeeeeeeet
