You never know. I refer to Newbury again. He got the call because he was on a huge scoring run in the weeks before his call up. In a same way Jamie Tardif is now. Back then, everyone expected Ritola or Emmerton to be called up but Holland surprised us all. Who's to say he won't again?

Ask anyone in the Grand Rapids organisation who deserves a call up they'll all say the same thing. Why keep dreaming? He's a Detroit Red Wings player. Nobody expected them to call up Newbury last season either and it happened.

I might need to take a look at a huge list of stats before I form a final opinion on the thread. My only actual contribution to this thread is that Hudler annoys me that he only produces when he's put with our best players. BUT so long as he's actually producing what we'd expect from someone playing with Datsyuk and Cleary I'm happy (no pun) to roll with it. I doubt if we put someone like Helm with Datsyuk he'd be putting up the same amount of points. -

The hit was on Jamie Tardif who was knocked out for a few seconds before skating to the bench under his own groggy power but funnily returned 4 minutes later to score on the powerplay. Ryan Russell made the hit. He was kicked and will almost definately be suspended. It was a textbook blindside elbow to the head hit. Not nice to see.

Good 4-2 win for Grand Rapids. Chippy game with a 5 minute major for a blindside hit in the third being the turning point. Goals: Jamie Tardif (x2), Jamie Johnson and Tomas Tatar (EN)
