I'd like to see him sort out the horrific FA signings he made for Grand Rapids (for the second year running) in Chris Minard and Jamie Johnson, moving them on for some scorers who can actually score in a puck possession system.

Anyone wanting to watch, the game will be live at 7pm EST on http://www.redwingslive.net (for those registered) Just click the Griffins tab below the site logo and bow down to my moderator powers Lets go Griffins!

Subtract his 6 goals in 51 games? I can't bring myself to do it...I just can't. Although seriously, I don't see how Hudler is adding to our scoing depth when guys like Cleary and our bottom 6 guys are chipping in with more goals than before. They're the difference this season. Not Hudler. For the record, I don't expect much from Modano when he comes back. He was struggling to begin with and now hes been out the game for so long...I've got some spiced potato wedges with some ketchup and they taste good.
-
This is an important point. Without Hudler, would you say Detroit lacks scoring? No. Complete opposite. But does Detroit have the defensive strength for a long playoff run? Not at all. Doesn't have to be Hudler, just he offers nothing except scoring so if I had to trade a forward in a situation like that I'd choose him.
-
OK Mario. Walk away then. We'll notice you're gone and it will be a huge loss to the current game.
-
End of the day, Ilari is a good hockey player. He just doesn't deserve a call up ahead of guys like Tatar, Mursak, Emmerton, Tardif and Paré who all (minus Tatar) have been putting in 110% in the AHL for years.
-
We've got too many guys in Grand Rapids who need NHL playing time to further their development. Nothing bad about Draper, he's been good this season, but his roster spot next year should go to Mursak or Emmerton.
-
More fights in that one game than Detroit has in the entire season. Sigh.

Bruins are such a physical team this may be painful to watch if you don't like seeing your team being pushed around. Im hoping for a response like the Ducks got back in October. We played well, pushed/punched back and guess what, we got the win. They stopped playing like that in November.
-
I didn't realise this was a Hudler thread. Give it a rest Eva.
-
What part of is angry to you? I like the way you ignored pretty much everything I posted. Pretty much what I expected. Feel free to come back when you have something interesting/relevant to say.
-
Funny you mention that, because what was your response when I asked why more people don't watch the Griffins? I can see with that attitude you must be the main person to talk to about Grand Rapids. You don't watch them, you rag on them and you make false claims about players and their ice time. Johnson and Minard play on the 2nd and 3rd lines and get little to no PP time. But you know, forced down out throats, yeah? Please.
-
That was subtle (or pathetic, take your pick) Please, you expert of all things hockey. Tell us more about Ilari. I don't know much obviously, because when there's no fighter on the ice my eyes glaze over and I ignore everything that transpires until a goon starts roaming around. Anyway regardless of what the Grand Rapids nonGuru says, Ilari is an average skater. He's not bad, but he's not good either. Just an average AHL skater. He scores most of his goals on the powerplay (not always a bad thing) and has a good work ethic at both ends of the ice. Plays a suprisingly physical game. Got a good wrister on him, but doesn't use it enough. If there needed to be a call up and Mursak and Tatar were unavailable or already called up, there are other players who would be more deserving of the call. But if he was called up and could adjust to the speed of the NHL he would be fine. Thats a big if though.
-
Now there's a sentence that makes sense and doesn't contradict itself in 8 words. Not sure how anyone can claim this team is lacking a physical element. It is. And its a disadvantage. The opposition can skate around the ice without a care/ache/bruise in the world. (I said nothing about f***ting)
-
For real. The only thing worse than sucking, is sucking and showing no emotion about it. But hey, if the players dont care ther're losing then I won't.

Poor Grand Rapids.

There's no Wings game on this Friday night, so all of you who are registered at redwingslive.net can watch the Chicago Wolves take on the Grand Rapids Griffins. I'd post it in the AHL section but nobody goes in there and Im getting bored of watching games by myself ( ) Griffins are just as banged up as Detroit with injuries but players like Ilari Filppula, Cory Emmerton and Jordan Owens to name a few are still going strong. Should be a good game as Chicago has major beef with Grand Rapids after one of the Griffins enforcers (Greg Amadio) Also, if any of you remember Adam Keefe, he's back in Grand Rapids and averaging a fight a game and playing well. Expected Line Ups: (An educated guess, probably wrong) Lines: Minard - Emmerton - Pare Owens - Filppula - Johnson Coetzee - Andersson - Ehrhardt Rankin - Raedeke - Keefe Pairings: Janik - Meech Kolosov - Pyett Piché - Amadio Goalie: Jordan Pearce Injured: (Jamie Tardif () , Brendan Smith, Brandon Straub, Brian Lashoff) (NHL: Tatar, Mursak, MacDonald) http://www.redwingslive.net (click the "griffins" tab below the logo) 7PM EST

Not Amadios fault Ross is so small. North South hit. Ross skated with his head down straight down the middle of the ice. -

Was clean. Elbows were in. Hence why there was no suspension. How is the fact Minard and Johnson suck anything to do with Fraser? Ken Holland signed them. Also, no, they (Grand Rapids) don't suck. If you actually watched them you'd realise that. They've been playing very well since the New Year. -
Sorry, this call up should have been Jamie Tardif.
-
Its about time he started producing...He went months looking like he was never going to score. He's playing with far more confidence now. On a side note...why does no one watch Griffins games online? They're streamed online at http://www.redwingslive.net upon clicking the "griffins" tab on the menu at the top. Registration required first though. I get lonely watching them by myself.

You should visit a Griffins board once in a while. You might actually learn something. Don't post though...I like the Eva-free Griffins board's. And whats wrong with my Downey statistics? WHY CANT PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE FOUR GAME CONCEPT?!
