Im still waiting for a reply in the old Ritola thread.

3:30am...bleugh...I may have to go to sleep before and after this one.

I think we all know how Babcock is starting to feel on the subject.

Jimmy Howard to start VS San Jose; Brad May replaces Ville Leino

I see May is playing. We are assured victory now! -
Nice to see ma boy Tardif end his goal drought! I'll try and upload the last few Griffins fights later as well internet permitting.
-
You do realise the players on "our best line" produced a massive 9 goals between them in 70 collective games? Thats some impressive line. You really have Leino issues. Also, Williams isnt going anywhere.
-
My counter arguments for Lame-O being a useless pile of s***e: -He provides/has provided no offense -If hes one for the future and not now, he should be in Grand Rapids which he refuses to do. Plus hes pushing 26 not 18. -May is very good at playing the game and has probaby the best hands for an enforcer in the game. He even has the ability to not fall over every time theres a slight breeze, something Leino cant do. -Babcock is clearly getting fed up with Leino, scratching him, giving him little ice time and slagging him off in the media. Detroit got rid of Grigorenko and Ryno just like that. They'll do the same to Leino.
-
If Brad May was playing instead of him we could have scored 8, maybe 9 more goals.
-
Good to see Leino is still putting up the numbers.
-
Zetterberg torn ACL tonight. Heard it here first.
-
Another multi fight night for Detroit! (nah, whenever I predict a fight it never happens) Scoreboard wise...Detroit win in SO 3-2.

It must be Jake Ryan's birthday.

Ahhh you cant beat someone on your ignore list constantly following you around the forum. I would also love Carcillo in a Wings jersey...Id also like Avery in one as well. That would sure be something!
-
Finnish Wing has a humongous boner for Leino. In my own perfect little world, Lebda is traded for a stick of peppermint gum, Leino is waived and sent to sulk in Finland and unfortunately Abs is sent down to GR but at least gets 1st line minutes.
-
I love Carcillo. Hes scored more goals this season then Leino in fewer games. How about that?
-
To be honest...I doubt he would. Hes too lazy and s*** to play on the top 2 lines, and most teams have grinders, defensive and hard hitting lines on the 3rd and 4th lines and he isnt that either.
-
Id take him over Lebda in a heartbeat.

Does anyone else not care when we get a PP anymore?
uk_redwing replied to FunkedUp's topic in General
They should put Brad May on the powerplay. He goes out there, beats their best player to a pulp, gets the instigator, we go to 4 on 4. More chance of Detroit scoring + they're down a player for the game due to the severe beating. Rinse and repeat. -
HUDLER COULD STILL BE A WING THIS SEASON
-
Ahh it'll be fine. So long as Leino is on the ice there is someone to take out in Hulder-esque fashion instead of our star players. Leino is an enforcer in his own special way.
-
Anyone know May's status for this? We really could use that extra physical presence tonight.
-
Callahan fights far more than Tucker though. Including preseason hes had 18 fights so far this season. Kelowna have been struggling as of late, so Im predicting he'll get maybe a 25 goal season, which is pretty good for a guy who spends most of the time in the penalty box.
-
Yeh he must be showing some good leadership qualities. I love his fighting style as well...very similar to our own Brad May. He starts throwing toe to toe from the start. Most of his fights have been pretty entertaining in that aspect. For anyone who wants to see the progress from his first WHL year last season: 08-09: 70 Games, 14 Goals, 13 Assists, +11, 188PIM 09-10: 43 Games, 12 Goals, 21 Assists, + 5, 100PIM (Game 43 is still currently being played) He had a fairly unsuccesful playoffs last year, so still waiting to see how much hes able to up his game when it matters. Overall though, its looking up. Definately see him becoming a McCarty type player...or if his offense continues to grow maybe the next Shanahan. I just pray he does ok in the AHL...playing the way he does in that league wont go too well for him if he doesnt get bigger. Hes around 180 pounds at the moment and at 5'11 he needs to get that to 200 at least.
