He's played on the PK in the past but we have a load of guys already specialised on the PK so it's understandable that between being on the PK and being on the PP there wasn't much ice time for him last night with all 4 lines to roll. Seems all hockey games have been PP fests since the season began. That's the league saying "sorry"

He's a better option then Vandermeer, why?

I'm sure he'll be claimed by a team lower in the order than ourselves. If not, we should jump at the opportunity. Can never have too much depth.

The Griffins got absolutely beat up (apart from Tatar at 3:50) because the Rockford 4th line goons were up against one of the Griffins scoring lines which obviously had no real fighters on except for Aubry who still got beaten up. Props to Tristan Grant for leaving the bench to go after Beach who was trying his best to send Sheahan to a hospital at centre ice, even if he's going to get a massive suspension for it. Poor Callahan had two guys trying to pound him at once. Real goonery from the Ice Hogs. Beach will have a target on his head when these two next meet. If anyone's interested, the Griffins won 11-6 with a hat-trick from Callahan.

For the forth time since 1992, we have an official lockout. A round of applause for our amazing commissioner Gary Bettman, who is overseeing his third lockout, and the league's fantastic owners who both care so much about the NHL and it's fans Both sides met thousands of times over the last few weeks and worked really hard but just couldn't get a deal done.

I've learnt to live without this league now. I watch some AHL games now and then, but otherwise I just find myself having no desire/pining for the NHL. It's like that year down the line when you break-up with someone amazing and think "meh, what was all the fuss about?" Grand Rapids Griffins Friday/Saturday/Sunday triple headers are all I need.

Mrazek played last night and the Griffins WON 4-1. Long may it continue! McCollum needs to be sent to the ECHL for a while. To be fair to Jordan Pearce, he did have a stretch when he was immense the season before last before he burned out. I think he has more upside than McCollum who was a waste of a first round pick.

This is a 1:30AM start for me, so I doubt I'll be around for it. I hope for many goals, many fights and a win for the Griffins. Some decent goaltending would be nice.

So good to have the FSD team back in my life! Enjoyed listening to Holland as an extra announcer in the 1st. Babcock in the 2nd should be even better.

Thought Callahan lost that fight myself. He was far too open against a very experienced fighter and ended up covering up as he ate quite a few punches. Started off well though.
