Sad thing with the web these days is that every single f***tard on the planet can have their own blog.

WCSF Game 5 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Sharks 2
CopenhagenWing replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
You're real smart, aren't you? -
Yeah, I'm hoping it gets progressively worse for the rest of this series.
-
None, whatsoever! Unlike last year, when Osgood finally rounded into form in the latter part of February, the Wings were not in a position to wait for him to come around this year. They had to play the hot hand. Blame Babcock, my ass.....
-
I've seen Pickles enough to know he's stronger on his skates than that!
-
But....shouldn't that affect both teams equally??
-
Because you've never seen a Red Wing trying to sell a call? Howard made a fool out of himself yesterday as much as Nabokov. There's a way to curb the acting jobs, though. Call the embellishment only and slap the offender with an extra penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. When the goalies do it, make them serve their own penalties and force their team to play a cold backup. I bet it is going to be a while before a goalie tries that again.

A Calder Trophy win hasn't been treating the last couple of goalie winners too kindly.

I was reading some of the comments on TSN and saw this gem: Great Picks! No Overrated players this year! I think anyone of the finalist would be a great choice. For everybody that thinks Green is such a defensive liability, how does +35 sound! It doesn't matter what team you play for in the NHL if you put up those kind plus/minus numbers you are doing something right. Finally!!! Some good young defenseman that can put up points, the league has been stagnate for that past ten years since the likes of leetch, bourque and coffey were in their prime. Defenseman have been winning the Norris with 40 points (ie Lidstrom, great defenseman but if he was in the league with the three above mentioned names he might have won 'one' Norris!)

Hasek/HC Pardubice set record, win championship

A lot of European sports clubs rely on sponsorship money to help run the teams. That's why they have logos everywhere. You can even have your logo/company name on the players' behinds. -
WCQF Game 4 GDT: Coyotes 0 at Red Wings 3
CopenhagenWing replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
I believe it was Cody Mcleod. -
Obviously, you do not expect your own teammates to put shots on your net but Nabokov was asleep in that situation.
-
Yeah, if the Capitals want to win this game maybe they should park him on the bench. He's been on the ice for 4 against (didn't see Montreal's 1st). Still has a +/- of 0, though.
-
Sedin should win.

Phoenix Coyotes Forward Lines and Pairings

Indeed he is.. -
By that rationale, I guess Maltby should've crushed Giguere's larynx in '03 since he owned the Wings in that series. Ridiculous.
-
Well, since Draper has been playing wing for most of the year, he hasn't really taken the amount of faceoffs he's had in the past. However, last year in the playoffs, he was winning them at a 60 per cent clip.
-
Not going to happen. There's a reason why Draper is out there without his regular linemates on defensive zone faceoffs late in games.
-
Lidstrom's TOI was 18m 37 secs. That must have felt like a day off work.
-
They're just trying to get their losing out of the way early. SJ still haven't found the mix that'll bring them a cup IMO.
-
Campbell's right skate seems to catch a rut in the ice. Had that not happened, he'd maintained enough of his balance to stay upright.
-
It's really sad that people don't remember that Lilja was the Wings' 2nd best defenseman in that series irregardless of that turnover.
-
Haha, I think he looked like Howard did at the beginning of the season. Brodeur would have been fine. Great goalies recover from bad outings.
-
Remember that Canada lost 5-2 to Sweden in the preliminary round in Salt Lake City. If you're going to have a bad game in tournament play, the prelims is the time for it.

NHL Rule Change Thoughts while following Olympics

Nah, that would be too simple...
