Ok, Detroit got out of that period like they needed to being down 2-0 early. That Z goal was huge, the Lilja hit was huge, and the PK and the end was huge. They need to build off that momentum and get that next goal. If they can tie this at 2, it's a whole new game.

Detroit is doing everything completely ass backwards in this game. I don't know what Babcock is thinking with these match ups. Hasek has been horrible as well. The only way Detroit has a chance in this game is if they get the next goal and don't allow the Sharks a goal for the rest of the game. They have to win this game 3-2 or 4-2. Simple as that.

This game felt like a regular season game more than a playoff game to me. I wasn't even nervous or got angry after the Sharks scored, that's usually a bad sign. Just so, blah. I hope Saturday it starts to feel like the playoffs again. I mean it's not like San Jose outplayed Detroit at ALL! Detroit controlled the play and had the puck like 90% of the time after the Sharks scored their 2nd goal. It was just a bad 25 seconds for the Wings. If they don't score that 2nd goal, who knows what happens, maybe they only win 1-0, maybe we tie it and go into OT. I'm not worried about Detroit in the least, the 4 days off may have also made them lose their jump. On to game 2.

Well I hope it costs them like it does to the Wings whenever they do it.

It's not like Detroit is getting outplayed in the least. But nothing is going their way. The puck seems to be bouncing quite a bit tonight too, anyone else notice that?

this is turning into the Edmonton series all over again. They blocked like every shot from the point we took and every deflection went their way. Even Detroit's 2nd attempts at poking the puck is going RIGHT TO the Sharks players. It's just a bad luck game for the Wings, they may just need to get this one over and get it out of their system. But man, if they can score before the end of the 2nd here, that'd be HUGE.

our forwards need to move around and stop standing still along the boards. That play only works if your D men can score from the point, which ours can't anymore. Babcock never adjusts anything during a game, he's horrible at it. They need to use the D to just keep the puck in and use our forwards to just crash the net while they try for the cross crease one timer or shot from the top of the circles.

If the Wings don't get the next goal, this game is over.
