Hasek will either shut it down the rest of the way or let up 5 or 6 total tonight. The Wings NEED the next goal before the end of this period. The longer we stay behind, the more momentum Calgary gets to put the game away. This is just such bulls*** how we can't even get a decent PP going, I don't understand.

Detroit just did everything I said they shouldn't do. Not take a penalty in the first 10 minutes, not let up the first goal, and to score on the PP, and they failed on ALL THREE!!! I'm good at predicting.

Wings PP is 10% right now, their PK is 75%. That's why we lost. The Wings will NOT get far with special teams like that. They have GOT to score on those 4 minute double minors and get the occasional 5 on 4 goal.

Anyone else notice that Detroit seems to give up a lot of goals to rookies? It's always like they mention a player on the radio or tv saying it's their first NHL game, and lo and behold, they get a goal or assist in their first game. Like ALWAYS against Detroit. I just find that amusing.

Wings need to win 3 of the next 4 to get in a winning playoff mode or else it's another first round exit. This is a huge mental loss for Detroit, but winning these last 4 could take the bad taste out of their mouth.

It'll be 3-1 before both these penalties are over.

It's funny, any other team in this league would have immediately scored on that ensuing powerplay after one of their own guys went down with an injury like that. They'd also be hitting every player in sight and the crowd would be going nuts. But not Detroit. In fact I think Detroit is the only team in the league that honestly does not show anger or drive in times when they desperately need it. None of these players are acting mad or frustrated. After then end of the first period why am I not seeing one of these guys breaking their stick over the net or boards!? Show me some passion Detroit, SHOW ME ANYTHING right now because you will NOT win this game in the 3rd period. In fact, that will not happen the rest of the season. YOU now need to score the first goal of these games, hell the first 3 goals because you seem to just think you're automatically going to win as soon as you score the first goal and stop playing. This s*** drives me crazy about this team. How the hell do they have 100 pts?!?!?

BTW, you can all go home now, this game is over. Wings are not coming back to win this one. They can not win when the games are at 2 in the afternoon or on a west coast. This is just sad Detroit, ******* sad.

They showed the replay of the hit (I missed it when it first happend) and it honestly did not look THAT bad. Lebda looked like his had time to brace himself and didn't go head first into the boards. So what did he hurt??!?
