I'll give him credit, but against any other team I don't think he gets 4 points. Nilsson and the Islanders' D look absolutely awful.

He's not really as physical/big as the other 4th line options so I'm guessing he'll be the odd man out most of the time unless he can start scoring.

Islanders better keep those elbows down. I'm sure the officials will be looking for any kind of head shot all game long.

Absolutely embarrassing game BY THE REFS tonight. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason the Wings shouldn't have won this game 1 - 0. Dave Jackson should be out a job by midnight if there is any justice in this world.

Pretty good comeback there and a nice goal by Hudler. Right now he's tied for the team lead in points, by the way.

If my family had stayed in Chicago instead of moving to Cincinnati, where there was absolutely no interest from anyone in playing competitive hockey. Not sure I would have played as a kid anyway, but I would have had a better chance and who knows what would have resulted from getting started at an early age.

The deaths that have occurred most recently do seem to all be enforcers. It's probably just a coincidence though, and I hope it's not a result of painkillers. Sad to see anyone pass away at such a young age.

Grigorenko led Salavat in goals in the KHL playoffs on their way to the Championship. Nashville would be stupid not to take that trade! Edit: Not to mention he played on the same team as Radulov, so there's a double whammy! -
I wouldn't mind Conklin, but Larsson has no NHL experience and Leclaire is more injury prone than Ozzie at this point. In any case, if Osgood is the backup then I'm fine with it knowing that the newly re-signed Joey MacDonald can handle the backup role if need be.

My opinion is that Holland would never send an offer sheet to an RFA because he knows better. Also, in any of these "pipe dream" trade ideas, Smith would have to be involved in every one of them and I would much rather let him develop and see if he can become a Doughty-type player than to lose him and regret the decision later.

Seems to me like he was included for the sake of getting rid of him. Kind of like what the Wings are trying to do with Hudler. I can't imagine he would play more than a few games next season as a 7th or even 8th D-man, depending on who the Preds sign.

I think everyone needs to calm down. Holland is a patient GM and will do what is necessary to get the players that this team needs. Who knows, it may even take until the trade deadline (remember Brad Stuart?) to get it done.

I don't get why everyone wants Bieksa here. He didn't look all that great in the Finals and would want more than he's worth. It will be interesting to see what Holland ends up doing.

I just don't see anyone on Philly's roster that Holland would really want to trade for, unless he plans to go after one of their top six. Even then, the Wings wouldn't really be able to or want to match what other teams would offer because the organization's philosophy is to develop from within while other GMs will undoubtedly overpay for the Flyers' higher-caliber players.

How is biting someone who sticks his or her hand in your face a "sadistic" behavior? You're saying that if someone were trying to reach into your mouth in a violent fashion, you would just let them do it? I just cannot comprehend your logic in saying that if you bite someone in a hockey game you're going to be the next Jeffrey Dahmer. I don't agree with biting as I think it's childish and unsportmanslike, but not a sign of a mental disorder or instability.
