I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Canadiens in 6. Structured defense, speed, and an elite goaltender will prove to be too much for a Rangers team that has had trouble scoring.

Lucic and the way the rest of his team acted are why the Bruins are going home early. The Canadiens stuck to their system instead of diving and trying to act tough.

Can't stand the Bruins and Price has outplayed Rask in this series. Hoping for a Montréal win in Game 7, as unlikely as it may seem.

I wouldn't trade for him. Let some other team give up too much for a rental and then, if he's available the following Summer, see if he's willing to come to Detroit.

Really impressed with the way the Kings have played thus far. Plus, they're basically the only team left that doesn't have any players that I can't stand haha. Always liked Sutter as a coach as well. Also, I've been very impressed with Alec Martinez. The guy has really stepped up his game in this series.

The Habs throw everything on net, which the Wings didn't do. So far their skill and defensive style is tough for the Bruins. Carey Price is also playing fantastic.

Yeah, that's the only way I would personally justify keeping Franzen (playing him on the 3rd line). That's what he was projected to be anyway until he went beast mode for two years in the playoffs. The quotes about Babcock make me think he might be getting tired of dealing with the rosters that Holland keeps giving him and would consider going to another team after next season. I have mixed feelings about that but we'll see what happens.

He is the EPITOME of a pylon. That wasn't so much a bad pass as it was him not having any stickhandling ability whatsoever. Right after that he got burned several times behind the Flyers' net. Philadelphia really doesn't have anyone in their system they'd rather play over him right now?

The Bruins' D gave him very little space and shut him down pretty well. I think it had less to with him struggling effort-wise than it did having a lack of size and experience in the playoffs. Not even the kid line was able to generate anything offensively. It sucks to admit it, but Boston were just a superior team that was too big and firing on all cylinders.

I think it was worth it. If he re-signs and Weiss gets healthy then the roster looks a bit better. I think Holland should take a VERY hard look at using the 2nd compliance buyout on Franzen. No reason to buy-out Tootoo to save $1.9 mil for one season when you could save $3.9 mil for the next hundred years. Even with the potential of Jarnkrok, I think it's still too early to tell on this deal. It's probably best to reserve judgement until Legwand plays a full season with the Wings (assuming he comes back).

He hasn't really done anything in the last 2-3 months and looks lazy and unable to create offense in the playoffs this year. No, he's not being paid to put up numbers like Stamkos or anything but he is clearly past his prime and should not have a roster spot just because of his perfomance from 6 years ago.

This. His job is to be a shut-down center. But since the complaint is that he doesn't score... well he's currently tied for the team lead in goals in these playoffs

I don't understand why any team would want this guy. Sure he has some ability still, but you just know that at some point he's going to do something absolutely moronic like this and cost the team as a result. What he did to Marc Savard is unforgivable and he's still doing stuff like that now. Perma-ban this guy and let him try to ruin the careers of guys in the KHL instead.

Getting Ryan Miller would be a good move, but he would obviously be the #1 so the Wings would have to trade Jimmy and I just don't see that happening. Greene would be an improvement over Kindl/Lashoff but again, don't see Holland going after him. I'm pretty sure he wants an offensive-minded, puck-moving defenseman.

I mean, I guess you could interpret the rule as being in effect here, but it would make more sense to waive off a goal if it were scored immediately after the contact or while the player or goalie is still in the crease. In this case it looks like incidental contact is made but the goal is scored after Price trips over his own feet trying to get back to the crease.

I think it has more to do with teams that haven't won a Cup recently or ever and teams that have a lot of young guys experiencing their first playoff win. I know the Wings have a ton of youth but the culture around this team is about respect and maturity. I think the only team who should have reacted the way they did was Columbus. That win meant a lot more to that organization than most teams.

Wouldn't we play Montreal or Tampa, or am I misunderstanding the new playoff format?

Just think about when we get Zetterberg back (I'm hoping it's for this series...). The young guys looked like the best players out there and guys who were often the LGW whipping boys during the season (Quincey, Smith) looked good too. Quincey especially looked solid and DeKeyser is every bit the player we hoped we were getting. Great win, now get ready to put in the same effort for Game 2!

2 game suspension for Lucic. That's unacceptable.

Well, after 1 period I think it's safe to say that if we play our game we definitely have a shot at winning this series. Bruins are getting away with a lot of mugging and crosschecks that I hope will be called when we get different refs.
