Anyone notice Filppula's beard and their comments on it during game 6? Yeah, that's exactly the same as mine. And because of that, I actually get carded more when I'm "trying" to grow a beard. Granted I'm not 21 yet, but still, it looks like I'm trying too hard when I try to grow a beard.

I had another 5 months before I turned 10 for the 1997 Cup win. This is the 1st Cup where I've been old enough to really, truly appreciate everything that comes along with a Stanley Cup win. Don't get me wrong, I was ecstatic for the other ones, but this one just seems more meaningful to me for some reason.

I've said this before, but how in the hell can you not love Chris Osgood?

2 things in that game stick out to me for some reason. Drury's goal (which I thought should have counted but I haven't seen it in ages) and Dats' goal on Aebischer. If I remember correctly, it was the only one Aebischer allowed that game. Granted I could have all the players completely wrong in my head, but I think that's right.

It's nice to see a legend like Dom go out as a champion. It sucks that people have to retire, but I'm very happy for him.

Damn. I'm not leaving until 8:30 or so. I don't expect a great spot, but no one else wanted to go any earlier.

I'm taking my younger brother (17) and I might meet up with a couple friends. One of them lives at the Riverfront apartments, so I'm hoping I can park there, not holding my breath though. This will be my 1st parade so I have no idea where I should go. I'd like to be at Hart Plaza, but it doesn't seem likely that I'll be able to.
