Hmmm, even though Finland beat the Swedes they're below them. I guess it's because they were behind them before the tournament. Canada has a super-easy group for next year's WHC.

Ooof, I had no idea Draper was a -5. That's just plain unacceptable for him. As for Cleary, I do agree, but we all know he lost all that weight when his jaw was wired shut. I don't really expect that he'll be back to his regular form until next season. I'll toss Stuart into the mix. He is a +5 so far, and that's good, but I expected a little more out of him than 1 point in 14 games.

I'm saying nobody will because it's not something that'll happen because of what's at stake right now. I love Downey and D-Mac for what they bring to the team, I just think Abdelkader could be a little more useful at this point.

But he won't stand up to him. It's just not going to happen in these playoffs. The only fight was McCarty giving some kid a chance to make a name for himself in a series we already had wrapped up. Like MrSandMan said, a speedy kid is worth a lot against a team like Dallas. Individual experience is overrated. He's gotta get playoff time at some point.

That includes suites though. I would assume (probably incorrectly) that the upper and lower bowls seat the same amount of people. The JLA website says 20,058 capacity, which oddly leaves a capacity of 8 people for all the suites. But going by that number, my guess would be 10,029 people in each bowl. That's probably wrong, but I bet it's not TOO far off.

Why put in another guy who you're only going to play for 2+ minutes a game? Someone like Abdelkader, who is capable of playing more than that and has a VASTLY superior skating ability would be a better choice to put in Mac's place I'd think.

They say lax is one of the few sports you need no natural ability to be really good at. I played from 8th grade until my senior year, and it's my 2nd favorite sport to play behind hockey. I just wish it was on TV more.

Big Brown wins the Preakness, on to Belmont for a possible Triple Crown winner. I don't really care about horse racing, but that was an oddly exciting race.

Like I told FinRedWing before, I've always loved how Finnish sounds and I definitely plan to learn it at some point. I'll probably get the Rosetta Stone or something to get started.

I just watched a couple videos on Youtube of cameras on Mertaranta as the Finns scored big goals. He really is a great announcer (even if I can't understand what he's saying).

Haha, that video rules. Seriously, I love the way that's put together. Care to tell me what Nyt Huudetaan, Hellurei, and tama on ihanaa mean? (I can't do those letters on my laptop keyboard) And I love that "yltyy" can be a word. Finnish sounds and looks so damn cool.

See that's the part I'm hung up on. On one hand, you don't want the other team to give you the run like that. On the other hand, if they're stupid enough to just give you a run, why not take it?

In for the rest of the 3rd. Need something to take my mind off that Wings game, and a medal by Finland would certainly help.

It depends what you mean by panic. If you mean start second-guessing every move and play and shout that the sky is falling, that the Wings are done, that Babcock/Holland/whoever needs to be fired, then no. If you mean be a little bit apprehensive about the next game, but know that our Red Wings will play like they can and close out this series, then absolutely 100% yes.
