Probert with 23% of the vote in this poll is ridiculous. It would be the easiest game ever of "one of these things is not like the other" if they hung his jersey from the rafters.

It's just speculation on Khan's part. I'm not saying it doesn't make sense or that it won't happen, but there's no reason to believe this any more than the opposite scenario. That said, I like Miller a lot, but I wouldn't be terribly disappointed to see us keep Ritola instead. We keep hearing about his potential, and it would surely be great to see him fulfill it here rather than elsewhere. Then again, it would be better to see him not live up to it elsewhere instead of eating up a roster spot to do it here

The Yzerman-Maguire incident is my favorite, but it's not really a fight. It was so damn dirty (and I loved it for that), but it showed what a good teammate Probie was. I don't even think the KHL expects him to seriously consider the offer. I think this was just an attempt to take a jab at the NHL more than anything.

I'd say they were good defensively, no one in the WHL gave up fewer goals. As for the playmaker, nobody on their team last year had a crazy assist total. Hopefully that'll change this year.

They would be, yeah. That's why these really long term deals look so shady. It makes you wonder if they have an understanding that a player is going to retire at a certain age. There's no way the Devils can expect Kovy to play into his mid-40s. No, I get why they're made. The difference is our players are signed until an age where they can be reasonably expected to play still. No one expects a player to play until they're 44.

I like Shane Hnidy. Every time I see or hear his name though I think of their awful announcer yelling "Sheriff Shane Hnidy!" So as long as Ken and Mickey don't use that nickname or make a new one up for him, I'm cool with him coming here.

As an admitted Finn-slappy, I couldn't be happier about this pick. The only thing that would have made me happier is if Granlund had fallen to 21 (and there was no way that was happening).
