Met Gordie Howe at a hardware store when I was really young, but I don't really count that. When I was like 10 or something I met Draper, McCarty, Fedor Fedorov and Norm Maracle in Troy. Watched them skate for a little bit then they came and signed stuff for the few of us that were there. Edit: I could have sworn it was Maracle, but my friend seems to think it was Hodson.

If Kapanen doesn't get up, Roenick doesn't score. How many players would have stayed on the ice? I think most. You don't think the Ruutu brothers have heart? Saku Koivu doesn't have heart? Filppula doesn't have heart? Anssi Salmela, clearly never having fought in his life, took an asswhooping as well as anyone could. He could have backed down, but he didn't. That's heart, and that's how the Finns roll. Also, go Hudler!

Like someone posted in the comments, when you break it down it shouldn't even be close. Eaves lost his balance, Brown missed a hit, but Ballard threw the damn puck in his own net. When you put it like that, Ballard wins for sure. But I do actually think Eaves' is the funniest. Ballard's is more embarrassing for sure though.

It tells you to vote as often as you like, but it doesn't count multiple votes, so don't waste your time. Eaves is about 90 votes behind Ballard right now, so step yo game up.

Maybe over a career . That dude is the epitome of a bender. But players can definitely improve their skating pretty quickly, so hopefully he does just that.

It's not a rationalization at all. First of all, the force is dispersed over a much greater area when you get checked than when a puck hits you. 2nd, it doesn't ******* hurt to get hit. If you think it does, you're a ***** and have no business playing hockey, goalie or not. And I'm not saying that to get a rise out of anyone, I'm saying that because I believe it. Goalies are hockey players too. They're not supposed to get hit, and I fully support any act of on-ice retribution handed out to anyone who hits a goalie, but to act like it's dangerous or some heinous act is just stupid. Sometimes message-sending is good. It's always fun to watch.
