Doesn't the Jack Adams trophy usually go to the coach of a team that was awful the year before and decent this year? Kind of like how the Hart doesn't actually go to the best player on the best team, it goes to the best player on a not-so-good-to-average team usually.

I know, seriously. I couldn't freaking believe they were considering vacation of C Street southwesterly of B Street allowing the vacated area to accrue to Battle Creek Recreational Park. That kind of stuff had no business being in that meeting.

That's pretty much exactly what happened. It's nice to see that they're able to not play spectacularly and still win again though.

I heard on XM204 that they plan to decrease the number of intra-division games, but they didn't say to what. They did say each team would play all 29 other teams at least once, and there would be a home and home against I think 4 teams from the other conference.

I can't decide between Sharks-Yotes and Flames-Nucks. There was a fight 5 seconds into the Flames game, so maybe the 3rd will be good.

Woooo. Let me tell you, there are few things that make me happier than a Red Wings win. That was a pretty good game, and the 3rd period was pretty exciting.

Even with a goddamn empty net, from center ice, Sammy puts it the D's shinguards. And outstanding play by Nick in front of the net on that scramble. I think he saved 2 or 3 shots himself there.

As of the end of the 3rd, the NHL.com scoresheet still had Cleary as the only assist, so it was a pretty recent change.
