Sure, when you're up by 6 goals in the 3rd. When you get up by 6 in the 1st, it's a different story. Plus, there's no reason you need to rest your players. If AO wants to pad his stats and risk injury, then let him.

That's what I was thinking, but maybe they finally realized that the team that cheats more should be penalized more. That's just wishful thinking on my part though, I'm sure.

Great game, the Caps are always entertaining to watch. I agree about Backstrom, too, that didn't look even remotely accidental. I thought Washington deserved the win with the way Huet was playing in the 3rd and the missed interference and tripping calls, but them's the breaks.

FWIW, I think it's a lovely GDT. It's going to be a great day of hockey viewing for me. Caps-Pens, then Wings-Preds, then Ducks-Habs. Should be great.
