I've pretty much disappeared the past couple off-seasons too, but I plan on sticking around this one. It seems like this one should be a little tamer than usual given the sentiment thus far.

Cleary rocking Phaneuf was 1st for me, just because everyone rides his dick about how tough he is. Lang's goal against SJ was a great one. And any goal that Flip scored was a favorite of mine too

Coupled with the fact that I'm sick, I just can't sleep after this one. It's a different kind of sadness than other losses though, I just felt so bad after recent losses, especially Calgary for some reason. I know it's not just because this one was in the WCF instead of the WCQF, I think it has more to do with the fact that the series ended on a seriously positive note for this team.

I think people are overreacting a teeny bit with the "embodiment of all that is wrong with sports" comments regarding the Ducks. I'd also like to say I don't agree with shaking hands after a game/series, just because of how many fights I've been in that stemmed from post-game handshakes. Granted I haven't seen it in the NHL, but you know that some of them would love nothing more than to haul off and KTFO Pronger. That said, I'm sure Cheli had a reason for not shaking their hands, and if his answer is "I didn't feel like it" well, that's a right he's earned in his career. Poor sportsmanship? Maybe. Am I mad at him or think he wasn't representing the Wings well? Nope.

Ew is probably the best way to describe it I really want Teemu to hoist the cup, but not badly enough to see Pronger do it too. Now if Pronger were to disappear at some point between now and the last game of the SCFs, I'd have no problem with the Ducks winning really. And as for congratulating the Ducks, I will congratulate them for their win tonight. They brought it and outplayed the Wings for the 1st 40 minutes, and deserved this game. They did NOT deserve the series. The bounces and calls in general went their way. That's hockey though, and I can live with it, especially since the Wings didn't just roll over and take it, they played their asses off through most of this series. So in conclusion, great season Wings, and Chris Pronger needs to go drink an AIDS smoothie.

Well, I thought that we were gonna pull it off.But it's a loss like this that I can handle, the kind where we go down swinging and balls to the wall. It shows a lot of promise for the future, seeing that much heart from this "soft" team. I have faith that we'll be right back to the WCF this time next year. Here's looking forward to another amazing season of Detroit Red Wings hockey come October.

I liked what I saw from Kopecky that period, especially his man-handling of Brad May. It looked like he was gonna snap his neck, and you could see Kopecky trying to get him to drop his gloves but he just went and hid behind his teammates. That struck me as odd though because I'm pretty sure May would beat Kopecky down.

Yeah I know that's the way it is, but I tend to get idealistic from time to time I was so confident the Wings were gonna pull this one out, even after they went down 3-1, but like I said, it just wasn't meant to be tonight. I'm not too bummed, we'll get 'em on Sunday.

I understand that rationale, but I don't agree with it. Penalties are not supposed to be even in a game, the team who commits more infractions is supposed to get more. I do totally agree with you about us being the better team, it would just be nice if the rules were the same for both teams. It's just so frustrating that we should be up 3-1 at the very least. I'm very very optomistic about us winning this series in 6 games.

I'm gonna go ahead and ***** about the refs a little here. 1st - What the f*** happened to interference? I thought there was a rule about not being allowed to do it or something. This is "playoff officiating" as we kind of hoped not to see. The only difference this year is it took until the conference finals for it to take effect. 2nd - There were numerous times in the last 10 minutes that the ducks should have been penalized. The hit from behind on Markov, a hold here, a hook there, whatever. Yeah the refs suck balls like the have all playoffs, but the fact is we had the opportunity to absolutely obliterate the Ducks tonight, and for some reason it just was not meant to be I guess. Oh well, Wings in 6. Let's go Wings!!

But since they were suspended on tuesday (and most likely fired), I, along with thousands of other people apparently, cancelled our subscriptions. And for every single person, they 1st offered a 30 day credit, then 2 or 3 months free, then 6 months half price, and to some people even 6 months free. So go ahead and call XM and tell them you want to cancel and they'll bend over backwards to keep you. Please do it, I want to see that company suffer until they bring O&A back.
