Yeah, I thought there should have been at least 2 on that last flurry in regulation, there was a pretty blatant hit from behind right before Drury shot it.

Alfredsson hit him from behind at his right shoulder. It was borderline side/from behind, probably should have been called though.

I was there that night, but my seat was empty in that picture. I wasn't feeling well so we just stayed for the Stevie ceremony, not the game. Weird, I know.

But all too often people will lay all the blame on the goaltender, so it's nice for him to get all the credit every now and then And there's no denying that he was the biggest part of the Sabres then, they were nothing without him.

Just because I haven't seen anyone mention it, but I hope people realize not only how amazing it was that Nick made that save, but the incredible strength it took to keep a puck out of the net with one hand on the top of his stick. Amazing!

I'm serious when I say that I think this is one of Nick's best games in a looooong time, and not just because of the goal saving play. He's had 3 or 4 or 5 great, seemingly effortless takeaways, played at least 1, maybe 2, 2-on-1's to perfection and is coming away with the puck every time. Typical Nick, I know, but something seems different tonight.

This is one of the best games I've seen Nick play in a while, and that's saying something I think. He had 3 or 4 takeaways and then that save there.

Ewww, gag me with a spoon. I never really liked Messier, and then when he celebrated like a madman after whatever record-tying or breaking goal that was a few years ago I just started to hate him. Plus the fact that some people try to call him the greatest captain in NHL history when that's obviously not true certainly exacerbated my disdain for him. -
I can't believe I never noticed this topic before. And yes, the tigers are sweet. Last night was an awesome one. Wings and Pistons win decisively, and the Tigers pull it out too!. Although I really don't care all that much about any teams not rocking the winged wheel come this time of the year.

That's freakin' sweet. I could tell the 1st one was Cheli just by the shape of the head Then for the second one I didn't get up or anything, I just made my eyes go out of focus and that made it just as clear as going across the room. Seriously sweet stuff.

I think they think the puck was frozen. Or is it that they're claiming interference? No clue, but the goal looked fine. Assistant coach says: "we had some equipment issues that needed to be taken care of that took a little longer than we had hoped" Hahahaha, yeah right.
