They stopped the Detroit sucks chant in a real hurry after those fifth and sixth goals. It got kind of boring so the Wings fans in my section started chanting it for them. That seemed to REALLY piss them off for some reason.

Wasn't one of the conditions of Detroit playing in this WC that it wouldn't rule them out of hosting one in the near future? I thought I read that somewhere a while ago.

He grabs him by the jersey while he's down because Tootoo crumpled to the ice so he wouldn't have to fight. That would have been one of the rare circumstances where I wouldn't have minded someone throwing punches at a guy on the ice. Yeah, I agree the McCarty - Lemieux thing wasn't necessarily the cleanest play ever. D-Mac did come at him from where Turtle could see him at least though, and he knew it was coming at some point. Prior actions by Lemiuex justified it at that point though. And I don't think it's an emotional response saying "Tootoo's a douchebag." I feel like it's well-documented that he's a ******, from the manner in which he starts fight sometimes to his sucker punch on Robidas. It's not emotional, I think I have pretty good reasons for hating Jordin Tootoo.

1 - The fight against Wis, Tootoo started throwing punches before his gloves hit the ice and Wis knew they were fighting. 2 - He started punching Clowe in the face while he was engaged with someone else, and still got his s*** run. 3 - McCarty didn't jump Lemieux from behind.

The only reason Tootoo doesn't get destroyed too often is because he just goes for the takedown when he realizes he's outmatched. He's been fed his lunch by the likes of Foote and Wisniewski, and Barch would have broken his face in half if he didn't let up when they fought. And Wisniewski was at the "Tootoo disadvantage" in his fight, being swung at before Tootoo's gloves even hit the ice. Jordin Tootoo is a chickens***. Toughest guy in the league my ass.

Awww, poor Jordin got embarrassed and took a run at Salei. Of course he wouldn't fight though.

No. The Wings have been winning, and winning a lot, but not being as dominant as they should. A wake-up call is exactly what they need. Who knows what it will be, but there will be one. I don't care if it's tonight or if it's in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, but it's gonna happen.

All the Wings subpar play this season has been for the sole purpose of lulling these Sharks into the most profound sense of false security ever. And then, because of this genius move, the Wings attack, overwhelm, and emerge victorious. 14-3 of course.

I went to today's game. The quality of hockey isn't spectacular, but it was a fun game to watch. 5-4 final with almost 90 total SOG and a little bit of rough stuff. And as it turns out I know a couple guys on the Dragons. I'll definitely be going to a few more games.

Nick didn't look a whole lot like Nick for the 1st 10 or 15 games. Now he looks like Nick again. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the voters gave it to someone else this year just for that, but I bet he'll start getting quite a few people back in his corner as the season goes on.

I like how it's tough to explain "sloppy seconds" to your 12 year old, but grown men making each other bleed on a regular basis is no big deal. Remeber kids, violence = a-okay, sex = terribad.
