I missed that part when I was too busy calling all my friends who like other hockey teams Was watching the Boston/Carolina handshake...lol some guys looked away as if they were distracted and didn't shake some players hands lol

I think it's spelled Rahmani. Printing out a screenshot of the commercial would be epic along with the writing. A clever acronym for DUCKS or NHL would be cool too, but i can't think of anything right now.

If there are any suspensions/fines I will be shocked. This league is too inconsistent with calls to do that in the playoffs. We all know that Bettman will just overlook it and say that 99.9% of the time, the zebras make the right calls. I'm eager to hear him on the NHL radio now. I wonder what would've resulted if Ericsson, Stuart, Abdelkader, etc were on the ice instead at the last few seconds. I could easily imagine some ducks getting f***ed up. After watching the video above, Datsyuk didn't really have a chance. Neidermayer had him in a headlock sort of and was punching him as well as having another Duck come up behind Pav. Nasty elbow though, facewash is considered normal, that was cheap imo.

I guess every rule should have a * by it. I know they let some stuff go that they don't let go in the regular season, but there was been some dumb s*** going on that hasen't been called, in all games. I think the NHL should really look at the rulebook again this summer and get their s*** straight.

Instigator Rule Don't see where it says "this rule shall be ignored during the playoffs" Wings need to play every minute as if it's the last minute this time. Imagine the ass whipping we could hand the Ducks if the Wings played at FULL effort for 2 periods, much less the whole game.

I wonder how many goals/scoring attemps will be blown dead due to Hillers black pads/jersey....

Ducks run out of gas late in the 2nd and Wings take control in the 3rd. 5-2. Datsyuk scores twice, Z gets another empty net, Helm and Hossa bag one.

Didn't mick mention that the Ducks were charged their time out after the 2nd Wings goal? This could work in the Wings favor late in the 3rd.

Franzen is becoming a beast, again. 40 min for him to rack up some more points. The first few pages of this thread made me lol Ericsson is looking amazing out there. Even the VS guys are noticing his skill, he must be the real deal. I want to see him with Lidstrom on a PP and see him unleash a 100+ one timer.

Bettman is taking about the goal/no goal by hossa. Caller from Mi asked why not use instant replay for non goals to check. He said becasue they don't want to make the games 4 hours long and that in most cases the ref has a better view than what a camera would ("distorted angles"). Also talked about letting the play run for a sec or two more and Gary said that Goalies would get injured from being whacked by a stick...didn't mention Ozzy getting bowled over.

I think so. I too would like to see Justin in for Maltby, but ideally I'd like to see someone wail on Pronger and have him sit in the corner crying for the rest of the game...

I've had Wings/Caps on one of my playoff brackets and Wings/Bruins on the other. I think playing the Caps would be more exciting, IMO

So I'm guessing Downey wasn't suspended for hitting the other AHL goalie? Heard bits and pieces about the story, didn't really read into it though. I'm guessing if we lose we will definitely see some lineup changes, drastic ones. If we can squeak a win out, we might see a change depending on drapes and raffi. If it is a total blowout (like it should be) keep the lines.

this isn't the first time a "intent to blow the whistle" call has caused controversy. I really hope it gets discussed in the offseason. I'm not a big fan of football, but the "challenge flag" idea seems very interesting at this point. Maybe it's cause it caused us to lose, even though we didn't capitalize on other chances.

Fail. What if it was on our guys? So apparently the refs "intent to blow" the whistle means he can take a few deep breaths before blowing it...

Was the ref directly behind the net? If so, how the hell did he lose sight of the puck...it was in plain sight.? I love the NHL. I just wish I could see the press conference.

I want to get tix to game 5 (if/when we win 3 & 4) since I can get the MEA discount from my mom or aunt. But, I'm wondering if they still will do discounts in further rounds. If so I might keep saving and go to a WCF or SCF game..
