I believe the take home amount for the raffle was between 45 and 48k. My friend and I got seats in the leafs area (section 37), but there were quite a few Wings fans around us, including some from Toronto. Lots of playful back and forth, but everyone was having a great time. I agree about the parking and snow crews. We parked at the mall and walked to/from the stadium. You think they would've at least tried to clear the sidewalks a bit...saw more than a dozen people fall in the snow/slush and a few bit patches of ice. Same deal on the way back. When we got back to the parking lot around 6, my friend decided to try and leave, but I went inside the mall to grab a bite to eat. After an hour, he calls me and says he's on his way back because they closed the road on him twice and made him turn around. He got to the mall around 8, and said the traffic was still not going anywhere. We ended up staying till 9 and it had finally cleared up, but the roads were crap. It was an awesome experience, but as previously noted, the seating sucked, especially since people were layered up. Saw a guy spill 2 beers as he was trying to get to his seat after slipping on some slush. Never again am I going to the big house for a game haha. The entrances to the actual seating area should be more in the middle of all the rows instead of being so high up. The stadium crews also could've at least salted the ramps leading up to the stadium. Saw several people fall, and a lot more almost fall while clutching the one handrail. I know you can blame some of this on the snowstorm, but they knew it was coming.

Is the game on NBC Sports? My NBC is showing its normal Sunday cooking/news shows... Stupid Cleveland, guess I'll be streaming it.

My friends and I were going to go to a bar to watch the game after our senior dinner. Don't know where we're going yet. Kinda want to go to Hockeytown Cafe, but I feel like it's going to be packed there. Any suggestions for a bar in Detroit/Ferndale/Royal Oak that has nice TV's and good drink specials would be awesome haha.

This should be an interesting series. Glad I'm done with finals tomorrow so I can watch the games without losing study time haha. I was told that the first game would be Thursday. My friend's brother worked on the pre-game/intro videos for the Wings and was told that they had to have the Round 2 video ready for a Thursday game 1 (in case it was a home game against Chicago or Nashville). He said that he doesn't know if that'll change since game 1 will be away now.

So who's going to start a "Win-ni-peg!" chant at Saturdays game? haha

Oh, gotcha. I didn't see any yesterday while browsing. Guess I'll be getting student rush tix again for Saturdays game. Definitely worth the $30 bucks.

36 isn't that bad for a ticket, I got mine for 30 each. Where do you get tix for 7 bucks??? That's crazy cheap.

+1 The Joe was Rocking. Bertuzzi was the boss. Howard actually kept the rebounds under control for the most part, and some of his stops were awesome.

I applied prior to this season for the Marketing position, and know a friend who did a communications/promotions type internship with them a few years ago. I say go for it. They e-mailed be back in a week or so and said they didn't have any openings, but would keep my resume for a while in case anything opened up. Unfortunately I'm a senior now so I don't think I'll be re-applying since I actually need a paid job after this, but who knows, maybe an opening will turn up in a few years. I'd love to work with them.
