The main reason he probably won't wear them (if he plays) is because goalies tend to take a while to break in pads before they see any game action. Those look brand spankin' new. I think those were meant to be hung on a wall or displayed.

I think Lils was the most improved out there. No stupid plays, played a good defensive game, and didn't get scored on while he was out on the 5 on 3. Hossa was PIST at the last half of the 3rd, wonder what caused it, and can we have an opposing player do it in the first next time..lol Good game by the team overall, maybe it was the Wings way of saying Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays?

Hopefully this closes the chapter of the Cup-Hangover/lazy/sloppy Wing and picks back up from where we left off last year, except with Hossa and Conks of course

I wonder where the seats are in the upper bowl...15$ isn't bad though. If this lasts for a while I might be able to go to a few games. Then again, with all the no show season ticket holders, I could just move down a few rows (or even into lower bowl) lol

If "osgood is the worst starting goalie in the league", then he has nowhere to go but up, considering he was backup last year. lol I personally think he will get back to last years form, and will retire as a Wing. (backup to whoever we bring up from GR) Our defense is still kinda choppy, and having them lost on the ice at times probably affects Ozzie/Conks. Once they get back to 100% I have a feeling our goal tending will as well. BTW, has ozzie started wearing his new pads? I forgot that he was breaking them in, and was just wondering if he wore them in yesterdays game or not. Have faith in the Wings. There's a reason people say stats go out the window once the playoffs starts. Hopefully Lilja gets some fight tutorials before the playoffs, if he's still here that is.

I don't really mind us losing, at least in OT and a man down. I miss the days when refs would try and back away from calling marginal penalties in the later stages of the game and just let the players play. One of my friends love to harp on my when the Wings lose...then I remind him that he cheers for Toronto...and any team that happens to be playing the Wings lol.

I think he really came into the spotlight when he scored the winning goal for Tampa and people thought that he was a saint. He's not that great of a player, and personally I think that Zherdev has more of a work ethic issue, or maybe he just hated Columbus...lol

Any specific reason? j/w While he's not the greatest player to have played, he's a national hero in Ukraine for winning the cup and playing on the National Team. Zherdev on the other hand kind of bailed out and played for Russia...eh

Ooops...sorry. Stupid schedule with school and all...I have to open up like 5 tabs to check all of the Forum groups that I'm part of, and thats usually past 1am haha I don't think there would be many hard feelings against him. I like their 3 most common excuses: 1) They have crosby and malkin... 2) He's likely to get injured 3) Marian is a female name....(as if Crosby and Malkins aren't)... They also believe that Crosby and Malkin are cheaper alternatives...I wonder how much they will be asking when their contracts expire... And, they seem to think that we're going to have one hell of a hard time trying to re-sign Zetterberg...good thing we have "hometown discounts" and the cheapest goalie duo lol.

I think Kronwall is one of the more popular fan players, mostly because of his hits. He's not too bad with the puck either...
