Wings have made an Offer for Jason Blake
TheUkrainian replied to russianswede919293's topic in General
I think that Lang needs someone other than Williams on his line to break out of his slump, IMO a guy like Fedotenko or maybe even Bondra (i think hes a center, but we could convert him) may help and I know that Fedotenko has a habit of scoring important goals, and hes bigger than Blake but close to being as fast as him. Stats-wise I'm not sure. Also Fedotenko and Bondra haven't been mentioned in many trades so maybe the Wings could pick them up at a discount price?? Then to that I would just add Fedoruk and be happy... biggrin.gif -

Maybe after these last 2 losses, Holland will trade for a winger to put on our 2nd line (Fedotenko) , a guy who can fight (Fedoruk) and get rid Lang for anything...
-
Crazy night tonight... Wings win a close one (2-1) and we get dominated in the hitting game, both goals come from 1st line... After the game, Holland announces that hes trading Hudler and a 2nd pick for Fedoruk & picks up Fedotenko for a D prospect and maybe a player to be named later..... Yup, I can feel it...

Yeah, I dont think we would need to give too much to get Fedotenko, personally I would like to see us lock him up if we get him for a few more seasons TSN states that he has the willingness to play in front of the net (Homer would have a new friend) and has good speed. Only thing that I'm not too fond of is that he could bulk up some more (6'2" and about 195), but I like the fact that he can still hit even though hes not huge. I wish I had Hollands Phone # or IM, but then I guess everyone else does too..

wow, that list is pretty small...and to my dissapointment Fedotenko and Fedoruk aren't on it...gah. I think Fedotenko would help out Langs line because he needs a scoring winger. Fedoruk doesn't need an explanation

Touché... Hit from behind or not, I'll take him if he doesn't crap out after his injury :square:
-
I'm not completely sure but the last few games that I have watched had him hitting a good amount, although most games he gets about 4-9 registered hits (more than our team total sometimes... ), thats as of recent i think. I know theres a hits count somewhere but my internet is crapping out right now so I'm not gunna find it. I think he has a potential to do a lot better with the wings, playing on a top caliber team and all..

Im not so sure about Bert right now. If I had to make a trade now, I'd take Guering over Bert only because of the fact Bert has been injured and hasent played in a while. Maybe if he surprizes everyone in his 2/3 games before the deadline, then I'd take him, but for now I dunno how he will play after the injury . I would also pass on Lapointe, even though I really liked him in a Wings uniform. Not sure if Fedotenko is being mentioned in Wings rumors but I'd take him over Marty because hes about 6 years younger, a bit taller, and has better stats. He also scored some goals when Tampa won the cup (including the GWG). Im not completely sure on this but I think Ruslan is faster than Marty. (Fedotenko is also my favorite Non-Wings player in the NHL) but that aside, I just hope we get someone who will make an impact in our playoff run, unlike good ol' Cross...
-
slightly off topic but im lobbying for Fedoruk/Fedotenko. Fedoruk can fight and hit and would protect dats or zett. Fedotenko is also a good hitter, seen some tampa games and hes not afraid to hit or get in a scrum. He can also score goals in the postseason (hint: GWG in Cup Finals), plus we need to more people that start their last name with "F", reminds me on the mid 90's..

Answer to question 5...... a) Ozzy b) Hasek c) Markov d) Lilja.....
-
In yahoo NHL fantasy Lilja is 603 season rank and Hatcher is 621....just for comparisons sake
-
...Detroit trading their younger players to get all of the ex-wings back.....Oh, wait you wanted crazy scenarios, not possible ones...

I'm kinda dissapointed that Fedotenko isnt mentioned...hes one of my favorite players (because hes Ukrainian and was born close to where I was...), and unlike Zherdev hes more of a team player and isnt on a big slump this year. I was looking at some Tampa forums and they were saying that Fedotenko for Williams & a 2nd or 3rd round pick. I would that that without thinking Fedotenko is a year older, but is doing a lot better than williams and could possibly do even better if we was on the wings. Fedotenko is 6-2 and 196 or so and Williams is 5-11 and 194. If we were to trade for a person like Bertuzzi or Tucker or someone else that can hit and score, we would have a very good chance of going all the way in my opinion.

I was reading some posts on HFBoards and i came across one that waas about Zherdev being on the trading block. Apparently he doesnt fit into Hitchcocks system and they are looking to trade him. He has 2 more years left on his contract, makes about 2.5next year and a little over 3 i think the year after that. One of the biggest candidates for him to go to was the Sharks or the Coyotes. I was just interested in what you would give for him...hes only 23-24 i think so hes pretty young. (im expecting some trade datyuk posts...)

Carter is overrated, if he were to hit a lot more, then I'd consider liking him, but he doesn't. Getting Nik would be nice since hes cheap and would still leave us enough $ to get Nolan and usually 2 is better than 1 eh?
-
Best thing would be to develop those rookies a bit before we bring em up

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/bio/?i...nhl-maple_leafs He's also a winger Edit: Wrong Link, whoops
-
Im guessing hes young and angry , or grown up and lives a really sad life. But anyways, I dont think Legace will win a cup unless its in a backup role on some sweet or lucky team
-
Now that i wouldnt mind
-
I dunno about this, I think we were looking for a higher scoring forward, but maybe not? Id still rather have Bondra or Nolan
-
If Carter does go to the Leafs, there are still other options out there. I still wouldnt mind Afinogenov, or we should get Bondra. Why not get both and start to rebuild a Russian 5 line, even though bondra is Ukrainian. Hes kinda old too though..
-
That's true...now I have to wait about 15 years before i believe something from him again.
-
Well, he was right on that one... is it a sign that the world is ending?
-
Hey, if Howard doesnt turn out to be what he is expected to, we've got Liv. and if howard is sweet, im sure we can get some goods for Liv in a few years...but for now i say bring in Biron and Afinogenov packaged. :beerbuddy:
