The Wings shoot twice on the Zamboni side of the rink. I forgot which side it is from the Hockeytown logo. Essentially 208-221 on the map posted a few posts ago.

I'm pretty sure, but I'm not going to say I'm 100%. Maybe the seating numbering is different for the sections with A/B in it? You could call the Joe Box office and they could probably tell you so you'd be 100% sure.

I sat in 217B (seats 15-18) against the trashers and the 18th seat was closes to the Zamboni Enterance/Goalie.

It didn't even look like Kipper really protested the fact that Cleary was "interfering" with his goal-tending.

I was at the Wings/Thrashers game and the 3 people sitting in front of me bought a total of 8 beers, plus whatever they got during intermissions. Between the 2nd/3rd they came back up into the seats and said I was sitting in their seats, even after I pointed out that they were a row in front of me. They said that I didn't know which row I was sitting in and on and on until I pulled out my ticket and said "tada, I'm right, you're wrong. Now leave me alone and let me watch the game". Best part was that 2 of the people were wearing hawks shirts and the other just a giant black hoody. I'm thankful that they offer 15/45 tickets for students. Haven't bought a lower bowl seat for 45 yet, but I might just to see how nice the seats are. Most of the time for the 15$ tickets I get 14-18th row either @ center ice or in the corners where the wings shoot twice. Best thing IMO is to go eat before the game at Greektown, the food is pretty cheap there.

I've been to two so far; my roommate got free tix from his dads company for one game (4th row lower bowl ) and I went to yesterdays game. I went to about 5 last year. I plan on going to more games this year , but my job on campus right now is quite slow and I'm not getting a lot of hours right now. Having $15 tickets is the main reason why I can afford to go to the games though.

First wings game of the season that I'm attending. 15$ student ticket = 15th row of the upper bowl at center ice Hopefully they do a repeat of the CBJ game and give Jimmy some confidence. Hoping for a fight or two as well.

Sounds cool. Too bad I don't get Versus here at school and we have DirecTv at home which means still no Versus...lame.

Well the seat doesn't really matter, I think any seat is pretty nice at the Joe, but what I'm worried about is them selling out since it is Stevie Y's HOF induction

Well then I'll be getting my tickets as soon as my 9:55-11:15 class gets over. Glad I live 10 min from the Joe

I wonder if getting there earlier means getting better seats, or if it's just a random pick of a ticket..?

Sounds awesome, except for the fact that I'm only 20...damn. Does anyone know if I could buy multiple tickets with my ID? Most of my friends have class Thursday when I plan on getting the tickets, I guess I could just take their ID's for a few hours...

I think I'm going to go to Thursdays game and get some student tix with my friends. 15$ for a hockey game + a giveaway night = pure win. Free parking in greektown + $1.00 for the people mover makes it an awesome deal.

I wonder what would happen is Avery messed with Crosby...wonder if the NHL would perma-ban Avery from hockey?

I thought the $9 tickets were "obstructed view" seats (not exactly sure what those are). I know they have $15 tix for college kids w/ ID, I think they're essentially left over seats in between groups of seats. I dunno what other deals are you there though.

I wish I could score a Marketing/Advertising internship with the Wings...talk about a dream come true...

I have Franzen on IR and now Kolvachuk is gone? God Damn it. I had like 4 other players go on IR or are gone for a few weeks, I dropped the rest of them though.

I do music/scoreboard for my schools club hockey team and was looking for some music suggestions to play before the game and in between the whistles. Just got back from our first game and we won 6-5 against Lake Superior State University, which had a pretty good team. There were 8 penalties per team with one 5 min game misconduct for both (hit in the back). Our team is tiny compared to them, but we had guys throwing hits left and right. Also had a player score a hat trick, which makes the first game ever even more awesome.

So if I call DirecTv and say I WANT TO WATCH THE WINGS, they will give me center ice fo' free? Hm...

Damn, don't get Versus in my dorm. Guess I'll head over to Ferndale B-Dubs and hope they have it. I'm going to feel like an idiot going alone, all my friends are either busy in class or gone for the weekend.

You should go check out greektown and grab something to eat there too. Good food.
