Thanks. I much appreciate the real answer. f***, that was hard. haha. I just was curious, if that situation were to play with us and Z. If someone jumped at the chance to sign Z. If he could remain loyal to Detroit and just decline that offer. Thats all.

Just a question (that I actually think I have asked here before ... oops) Anyway, in regards to an offer sheet. If a team makes an offer sheet to a player ... ex. Toronto makes an offer-sheet to Ovechkin. Does AO have to except the offer sheet given to him. Or can he simply decline it. Obviosuly players are inclined to accept, because it means they will get more money. However, if they are really loyal to the organization, can they simply say, "no."?

I just have such a tough time seeing Sundin in a Red Wing jersey. Or any jersey other than a Leafs. Not that I dont like the guy, it just seems like that organization will always keep him regardless of playoffs chances/hopes. But then again, I said that about Ryan Smyth in Edmonton.

This is the way I see it ... I was happy when we got rid of Avery. I was even happier about the move when he really can into fine form in LA. f*** what was Alicia thinking!?! Anyway, I'd never want him on this team. However, I would've liked to have Tucker. He did get a a lot of coin from the Leafs, and I dont know if I'd pay that for a role playing guy like him. But he is tough, can drop the gloves, hit, aggitate and score. This isn't a case where you can just look at numbers and say, this guy is better than this guy. This is going to be all about opinions. And it is going to come down to which one pissed you off more, haha.

Personally I like compostie sticks. When I hold a wooden stick these days, it feels like a million pounds. As far as breaking ... I will search for a link (to back this up), but I have read, and heard on multiple occassions that wood sticks broke every bit as much as composites. However, there was a difference in break style. Composties shatter in a glorious display for all the world to see, where as wooden stick fractured, generally length-wise. The wood, while broken, and the stick useless, would still hold together. Basically this results in people being more aware when composites break. I'll look and see what I can find. Though, if you think about it, it makes sense.

Simply the raw talent and the difference in the all round game tells you Crosby will take this thing in the end. He already has 1 more goal tonight and the Pens are currently up 4-0. Haha, we need Z to get 3 G's 1 A next game.

Even though it seems the rath of a few of the ladies may come down upon me, I'll admit I was never a giant Ozzie supporter. Even during 98', when we managed to win, I kinda cringed even time a shot was taken on him. However, he has been outstanding lately. Even if people want to use the excuse of our excellent 'D', he has been a star. Good on him. After all these years, I'm on the Ozzie bandwagon. Haha. But ... I'm actually really torn here. Cuz my heart says Dom, but my gut ... hmmm ...

I absolutely loved Cleary in the playoffs last year, (as I've said before) and I'd be all for giving him more minutes. But if we drop Hudler from the 2nd to 4th line, you might as well just trade him and get it over with. If he gets 4th line minutes with 4th line players, he will get 3 more goals for the rest of the season. Just my thought.

I know that Sid will pass Z in time. Two completley different styles, but at the same time, I am just loving seeing a Wing a top the charts.

Dont know if its been mentioned, but Sid has 2 goals already tonight. So Z needs to get a few more points are the board before the night is through.

I'm a little suprised at Bobby gettin a few more nods than Brett. True, in all fairness, I wasn't able to watch Bobby Hull play, but Brett is undeniably one of the best goal scorers of all time. I think if you could have made a line around 1991-92, with Brett Hull, Lemieux and Gretzky, their numbers would have been disgusting.

Yeah, I guess I know the situation where it's the thing to do. I feel for them, I really do. And for me cousin, cuz he is a huge ML fan. Will suck if they hit 3 straight post season misses.

I've never been a Leafs fan, but I feel bad for this organization. They are supposed to be one of the great-franchises in the league and this whole concept is embarrasing. And should the fans be blamed? Like many people, they just want to watch hockey, but they sell-out the arena every damn night for a s*** product. JFjr. Shoulda been gone for some time now, but nothing has happened, so the fans have to send a f*cking message if they actually want a winning team.

Something similar I'd like to see is what one of our teams would be the best overall? Like in a fantasy world where our team from 1997 could play our team from 2002. (yes that would have 2 yzermans, 2 shanny', etc. but they would be different ages) Or any year for that matter. Doesn't have to be a year we won the cup, those are obviously just years where we had strong teams.

Along with the rest, welcome. The inter-squad game eh? hmm ... I think Scotty's team would win as it is set up. Especially with this seasons early start, I think to make it more balanced, Zets and Lids would have to be on opposite teams.

But on topic ... I'd like to see all the guys listed above back in Wings uni's. 1) Lids ... well, no explanation really. I'd like to see him give us a discount, but if he doesn't, I'd still pay him whatever. 2) The Franz ... turnin out well, I agree with your call. 3) Cleary ... I absolutley loved this guy last year in the playoffs. Some nights he was the best guy on the ice. That hit on Phaneuf!!! Yeah, if he can bring what he brought there, keep him in Detroit. 4) Filp ... hmmm. Every talks about this guy with a ton a potential. And I'm all for bring in young guys and allowing them time to step up into elite. (see Dats, and Z) But I do want him to step up production. But, its not like that secondary scoring has to come from just him, there are a few others who need to start finding the back of the net on a more regular basis.

Its one of those things, I'd really like to see the Caps step forward. I know the dont have the same size of a youth core as the Pens. (AO and Semin vs. Sid, Malkin, Staal) And the Pens always seem to come out on top in their games, but I just think a youthful rivalry like that would be good to see. Plus i'd like to see Ovi hit 60 goals.

I still think Z is going to be strong, but I'd really like to see Dats be the games number 1 star. I'm like him gettin 2 goals and atleast one helper. Keep us goin' Ozzie, make a believer outta me. 4-2 win.

I have a difficult job out west defending the Red Wings at times because of our division. Even though I have seen a HUGE improvement this year in the central, Everyone out here still credits a ton of our success to the weak division. It'll take some time before we are recognized a competative division. Atleast to have a solid goup make it to the playoffs.

In all fairness, I know eklund can post s*** without confirming sources unlike major sports networks. So, he has the often 15 minute advantage over them. But for all the s*** the guy has been given. Over the last year, in particular last years deadline, he did a pretty decent job. Made a few bang on calls. Dont get me wrong, I think he is a chump to, but a lot the eklund bashing seems to me like it is just another Bettmanesque-bandwagon thing. Everybody else hates him, so you do to.
