For as much s*** as I've given Kronvall over the past few years, (especially since the new contract) for being waaay too injury prone, I suppose we should be thankful we dont have Havlat. Good I love to watch Havlat play when he is on his game, but apparently he is injured already!!! Has that guy ever played more than 15 consecutive games?

agreed. that really nice, and how you can access the game previews from them. well done.
-
I actually really like both versions. You get the personal one with Z and Selanne, but Somebodys Watchin Me is pretty funny too. Nice to see the one with Z though.

NOoooooooooooooooo!!! Well, I do wish him the best of luck with whatever he is currently doing. But I can definatley say that if he isn't going to be around, I will miss his GDTs. Absolutley love them.

I live in BC, and I generally get to 2-3 games in Van a year, and I'm lucky if I find anything at $90. So, for $9, haha, well I just may take a trip out that way.

Those pesky wings just wont go away. Haha, year after year, even without the cup, we are still amongst the class of the league. Nice. But what the Hell is Buffalo still doing at 4 on the TSN chart!?!?! Could just be me, but I dont see them being anywhere near where the were the last few years. And HAHAHA, love this "No one in Vancouver will complain if the Canucks bore people to death, because without any improvement to the offense, a lot of their wins will be low-scoring defensive battles where goalie Roberto Luongo shines." God I hate the Canucks. Do I hope we blow them away this year.

Truly one of the greatest scenes in cinematic history. Another reason why I hate Avery. Even if they are now done, just the fact that an ass-clown like him was there. -
Eventually the time will come this season when I'd like to see us bring in another offensive threat. As the months move on, more and more topics will come up, and we will hash it to death. And some LGW'rs will love it, and others will ***** about 'another trade thread' like the always do. I know the decision is ultimatley up to head office and coaches, but it'll be interesting when the time comes and the trigger is pulled to see who we can afford to let go, and what we can get in return for that talent.

Haha, except the Ducks won a cup. That already puts them above St. Louis.

We play them first game dont we? Do I ever hope we absolutley rock them. Especially Pronger. Lilja, (assuming he's on the opening nights roster) I'm putting the ball your court.

T'was a s***ty situation. I really thought he would stay. With all the talk of how much he was liking Detroit. But Burke still loves him so much from his Van days and was offering him a ton of coin. If he bounces back and is Bert of 02', then yeah, I suppose we let one go when we should've got r' done. But, thats already in the past, and a category of what ifs' isn't what we need.

I think we all know that Dom will skate to the blue line and lob the puck. At the same time, someone from our squad will get called for hockey and a delayed penalty will follow. The Ducks goalie, not thinking that Doms puck will make it within a square mile of the net begins to skate to the bench. Red Light!!!

Did anybody get tickets for this thing? Or know anybody?

I know this isn't "players red wings fans should hate' but I think we could all add a certain former Av player to that list. And nobody outside of his mother can argue that. And even she would have a time finding a legit reason to keep him off.

I have never really been a JR fan. His 'showman-ship' often was more embarrassing than entertaining. But yeah, some of those interviews he has done have been unreal. And we need guys like him who can call out these networks. Loved watching it. But its a chicken and the egg senario ... what has to change first? ESPN dedicating more time to hockey to get the attention? ... or fans picking up Hockey, thus ESPN giving the sport more attention?

I know, I know, we have only had like 1 great ball player ever, and the USA owns the sport, but Basketball is Canadian invented.
-
When we first acquried Lang, wasn't he leading the NHL scoring race?
-
I guess I just can't relate to the situation with me being from Canada. I just dont understand why Hockey has such a difficult time cracking these markets. Roenick had a good rant about it a few years back. When he said something along the lines of hockey being the best sport out there. Fast paced, hard hitting, goals, fights, skill ... what more could you want. I understand it has a lot to do with your surroundings growing up, and for those in really warm climates, or poor communities, it was a lot easier and cheaper to pick up a bat and ball that to get all the equipment together to play hockey. But at the same time, I just watch the sport, and it is incredible, and blows me away that more people can't get into it.

As myuch as I agree with the whole concept of the top 4 sports being what they are ... populations in the USA have proven they'd rather watching NASCAR, horse racing, golf, I could probably go on and on, there are many ridiculous other spots which would easily attract more viewers. It comes across simply as a business, and they are catering to the crowds. - ps. Im not bashing americans and their viewing choice, or atleast thats not my intent. Just going by the numbers.

Haha, I was in class today and we were talking economics, and I was drifting in and out, and someone was talking about some people and factors regarding their state of affairs. At one point he said "its not just they're lazy..." And instinctivley I chriped in and said "and they suck." Haha. Obviously no LGW'rs in my class cause I got some odd looks. That expression brings a tear to my eye everytime.

I had no doubt that it would sell out, but damn that was quik. I imagine people from all over. Good for them.

New NHL schedule format for 2008-2009 season
arnoldbuck replied to HockeyCrazy3033's topic in General
Because that would have made too much sense. . Haha, and these are the NHL owners we are dealing with. -
I'd love to see someone get to 60 again. Both those guys are good candidates. And as I said above, I think 90+ points - 100 points isn't out of reach for Z and Dats, But ... they would probably need some playing time together.

Yeah, thats pretty much what I figured the lines ups would be. And even if Chicago somehow manages to pull a rabbit out of its hat and become a good team, I just dont see Chicago vs. Detroit being a big draw for the league. So perhaps an original six day, while cool, is not the best idea. Hmm ... well, I'd just like to see Detroit involved in something big and celebrated somehow. Hmm, until I think of anything better I'll settle for the 08' Stanley Cup Finals.
